2010 - Environmental engineering: Computer modeling and forecasting of cloud cover and solar
irradiation. PI: Professor Carlos F. M. Coimbra, School of Engineering at UC Merced.
2006-2009 Astroparticle physics: study of naked singularities‟ repulsive gravity as represented by
ultra-high charge and mass particles formed under extreme conditions due to many-body collisions
in the very early universe [39, 43].
2004-2007 Nuclear theory and reactions: Nuclear structure study of two- and three-nucleon effective
interaction derived from chiral-perturbation theory and their application to p-shell nuclei within the
ab-initio no-core shell model approach to light nuclei [40, 42]; Nuclear reactions: study of
applicability of „surrogate‟ reaction method to well-deformed heavy nuclei by using Sturmian basis
for direct nucleon transfer reactions [30, 31, 41].

pairing interaction that couples any two multi-particle configurations and its applications to heavy
