TITLE:
MOBILE PHONE GENERIC ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION
1.1 This document aims to provide generic assembly instruction of all Mobile Phones for Liberty Wireless.
2.0 SCOPE :
2.1 This document covers the working instruction and guidelines that govern assembly of mobile phone units for Liberty
Wireless. This also defines the role of qualified personnel performing this task.

6.1 All equipment should be in good working condition and properly calibrated.
6.2 Individuals performing the operation must have the training in ESD, IPC Standards and Training Program and
Implementation Procedure.
7.0 RESPONSIBILITIES :
7.2.1 Perform spot audits on this station as frequent as required by Engineering to ensure that the procedures in this
document are being followed to ensure quality.

9.0 PROCEDURES :
9.1.1 Get an A-Cover. It has a default earpiece cloth; if earpiece had a cloth attached no need to attaché one,
however replace cloth if missing on both parts.
9.1.2 Get a B-Cover. It must have an earpiece cloth. Replace it with black tape, if there is no available cloth.
Attach camera flex cushion if available & hinge module with holder on provided slot. Check the
orientation of hinge holder. Place the flex hinge guide on the opposite slot, the cut side of the guide must
be on the same side of the B-cover cut.
9.1.3 Get a C-cover. Attach a key FPCB w/ domesheet on the front side of C-cover, apply adhesive if needed
and check the orientation and all flex inserted on the C-cover. FPCB must be properly seated on the
surface to prevent unseated keypad.
9.1.4 Then attach keypad, observe the orientation of the 6 guides and 1rubber guide. Fully fold the keypad
guide to avoid unseated. Attach rear deco and metal spring with T6 screws
9.1.5 Get a D-cover. Check speaker cloth and rubber support for the lock pin and speaker, if missing replace it
with black tape if there is no available cloth. Then attach loud speaker on rubber support.
9.1.6 Check grounding pins for the screws, replace if missing. Check the orientation of the parts. Next attach
the main board, it must be properly seated and locked. Then attach and lock the RF antenna on top of
board and speaker. No need to place the rubber locks on antenna.
9.2.1 Insert main board’s flex cable on C-cover assy; carefully attach B-cover assy on flex side. Push hinge
module’s head to lock C-cover on hinge module.
9.2.2 Insert camera metal support on camera slot. Fully insert LCD/cam rubber gasket.
9.2.4 Attach LCD module and insert camera connector on LCD module connector.
9.2.5 Connect Flex cable to LCD module. Place rubber cushion/kapton tape on top camera connector for
support.
9.2.6 Insert all side keys on housing. Screw the LCD metal spring using 2 T6 screws.
9.2.7 Attach CID lens to A-cover. Place a double sided adhesive on the lower and upper part of A-cover and
CID lens attachment. Combine the A-cover assy to BC assy and firmly lock the latches on all sides of the
AB assy.
9.2.8 Combine the D-cover assy to ABC assy, connect the 2 flex connector. Firmly lock the latches on all sides
of CD assy.
9.2.9 Attach the hinge caps and screw covers. ( Can be separately done or move on the last stage/process)
9.2.10 Screw the Hinges using T3 screws and driver; B-cover using T4 screws and D-cover using T5/T6 screws.
9.2.11 Attach Battery cover. ( Can be separately done or move on the last stage/process)
9.2.13 Perform self visual inspection to the overall assembly according to the Product Quality Standards (PQS).
9.2.14 Connect the battery & turn ON the unit. Check for the following function parameters according to the
QIG.
9.2.14.1 Display & Backlight of LCD
9.2.14.2 Keypad, and side key buttons for functionality.
9.2.15 Log on the traveler. Pass the unit to its next process.
