Islamic Jurisprudence
Allah Almighty says; “Nor should the Believers all go forth together: if a contingent
from every expedition remained behind, they could devote themselves to acquiring
fiqh in religion, and admonish the people when they return to them, that thus they
(may learn) to guard themselves (against evil).” (9:122).

What is Jurisprudence?
Jurisprudence is the theory and philosophy of law. Scholars of jurisprudence, or legal
theorists (including legal philosophers and social theorists of law), hope to obtain a
deeper understanding of the nature of law, of legal reasoning, legal systems and of
legal institutions
Islamic perception of jurisprudence is the “perfect code of how to live one’s life”.
More over it covers all the aspects like finance economics etc . it also helps us to
understand simple problems like inheritance as well
Branches of jurisprudence
Following are some of the main Branches of Islamic Jurisprudence
2. Economics
3. Financing
4. Political
5. Medical
6. Social
7. Judicial
1. Believing in it
2. Reciting it
3. Understanding it
5. Communication of it to others
Quran does confirm the earlier books. But we have been time and again told that
those books are now not in their original form but have been altered by their
followers. In many articles about religion, the authors normally resort to get more
information from the earlier revealed books than to content themselves what has
been stated in Quran.
2. Aim of Quran
The main aim of the Quran is therefore to reinforce and accelerate the spiritual
ascension, together with all the qualities of human being, toward a state of true
loftiness and the dignity of which the human being is worthy.
In another words, we can say that the main purpose of Quran is to expound truths
that are relevant to the ‘life of the human being’ and the exaltation of his being and
conducive to his attaining a life of true happiness.
Muslims believe the Qur'an to be the direct words of Allah, as revealed to and
transmitted by the Prophet Muhammad. All sources of Islamic law must be in
essential agreement with the Qur'an, the most fundamental source of Islamic
knowledge
Usul al-fiqh, or the roots of Islamic law, expound the indications and methods by
which the rules of fiqh are deduced from their sources. These indications are found
mainly in the Qur'an and Sunnah, which are The principal sources of the Shari'ah.
The rules of fiqh are thus derived from the Qur'an and Sunnah in conformity with a
body of principles and methods which are collectively known as usul al-fiqh.
