GETTING STARTED
FINISHED SIZE : 9" wide and 54" long,
excluding fringe.

YARN : Tahki Yarns Cotton Classic Lite (100%


mercerized cotton; 146 yd [135 m] / 1¾ oz
[50 g]; Shown here in these colors: #4002
black (A), #4458 hot pink (B), #4457 light
raspberry (C), #4449 bubblegum pink (D),
#4605 dark khaki (E), #4202 almond (F),
#4807 dark turquoise (G), #4809 aqua (H),
#4803 sky blue (I); 1 skein each.

HOOK SIZE : F/5 (3.75mm). Adjust hook size


if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

GAUGE : 19 sts = 3½", 2 rows = 1" in wavy


patt.

SKILL LEVEL : Easy.

NOTES
Wavy patt (multiple 19 sts) is used throughout.
Yarn is cut with 7" tails at end of each row, and
next row beg with 7" tails for fringe.

With A, ch 285, leaving a 7" tail (see Notes).


ROW 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 4 dc in 4th ch from
hook, [dc in next ch, sk next ch] 8 times, dc in next
ch, 5 dc in next ch, *5 dc in next ch, [dc in next ch,
sk next ch] 8 times, dc in next ch, 5 dc in next ch; rep
from * to end. Fasten off (see Notes).
ROW 2: Join with sl st to beg ch, sc in same st, sc to
end. Fasten off.
ROW 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 4 dc in 4th st from
hook, [dc in next st, sk next st] 8 times, dc in next st,
5 dc in next st, *5 dc in next st, [dc in next st, sk next
st] 8 times, dc in next st, 5 dc in next st; rep from *
to end. Fasten off.
Rep Rows 2–3 for scarf, working colors in sequence
as foll: A (beg ch), F, B, A, B, C, A, C, D, A, D, E, A,
E, F, A, F, G, A, G, H, A, H, I, A, I, E.

FINISHING
Fringe: Cut three 14" lengths of one color. Fold
strands in half. Insert crochet hook from front to
back into a st at one short edge of scarf (the same
color as the strands), catch the folded yarn and pull KRISTIN OMDAHL, cohost of Crochet Corner on
it through. Draw the yarn ends through the loop and Knitting Daily TV, is the author of Wrapped in Crochet
pull to tighten. Make one fringe for each color stripe (Interweave, 2008), Crochet So Fine (Interweave, 2010)
along both short edges. ! and A Knitting Wrapsody (Interweave, 2011).
