    According to the DOJ, a search across five departments turned up no copies of a memo reportedly sent to them in October 2002, by Eleanor Hill, Staff Director of the Congressional Joint Inquiry into 9/11. The memo concerned the testimony of FBI agent Steven Butler, who had been the handler for FBI informant Abdussattar Shaikh. Shaikh had rented a room in San Diego to two of the alleged 9/11 hijackers, Nawaf Alhazmi and Khalid Almihdhar. The FBI also said they had no copies of the memo, nor any records concerning it. After Butler testified, Eleanor Hill, the staff director for the 9/11 committee, detailed his statements in a memo to the Justice Department. Justice officials, saying Butler's testimony is classified, declined comment.
