Activity Information

CCW 11-17680 ARREST

On 04/21/2011, deputies assigned to Ypsilanti Township stopped a vehicle on Grove Road near Snow Road. The
deputies made contact with the driver and established probable cause to search the vehicle. The deputies searched
the vehicle and located a 9mm handgun near the driver’s seat. The handgun was reported stolen out of the City of
Detroit in 2010.

The driver, a nineteen year old male Ypsilanti Township resident, was arrested without incident and transported to
the County Jail. The case will be turned over to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

BURGLARY 11-17706

On 04/21/2011, deputies assigned to Ypsilanti Township responded to the 1000 block of Walnut Street (West of
Browning Avenue) for a burglary complaint. The deputies determined the suspect(s) entered the building by
unknown means. The time of occurrence was from 6:00 PM on 04/20/2011 through 8:55 AM on 04/21/2011.
Numerous laptop computers were taken. There is no suspect information at this time.

LARCENY 11-17707

On 04/21/2011, deputies assigned to Ypsilanti Township responded to the 5000 block of Cary Drive (North of
Textile Road) for a larceny from automobile complaint. The deputies determined the suspect(s) smashed out a
window (from driver side front door) to gain entry. The time of occurrence was from 12:30 AM through 8:30 AM
on 04/21/2011. A GPS unit was taken. There is no suspect information at this time.

BURGLARY 11-17714

On 04/21/2011, deputies assigned to Dexter Village responded to the 3000 block of Broad Street (West of 5 th Street)
for a burglary that just occurred. The deputies determined the homeowner returned home and found the suspect
inside his residence. The homeowner yelled at the suspect and chased him out of the residence and down the street.
The homeowner lost sight of the suspect and contacted deputies. There was no sign of forced entry into the
residence. The time of occurrence was at 9:20 AM on 04/21/2011. Nothing was taken. The suspect description is
listed below:

Suspect Description- White Male approximately 17 years old with dark hair/ Last seen wearing a blue
baseball cap and carrying a backpack.

BURGLARY 11-17730

On 04/21/2011, deputies assigned to Ypsilanti Township responded to the 1000 block of Dorothy Street (West of
Harry Street) for a burglary complaint. The deputies determined the suspect(s) forced open the rear door to gain
entry. The time of occurrence is from 7:00 PM on 04/20/2011 through 11:00 AM on 04/21/2011. A wet saw,
assorted tools, and a battery pack were taken. There is no suspect information at this time.

RECOVERED UDAA 11-17879 ARREST

On 04/21/2011, deputies assigned to Ypsilanti Township stopped a vehicle on Tyler Road near Zephyr Street. The
deputies determined the vehicle was reported stolen out of the Wayne County Airport Police Department. The
deputies contacted the driver and immediately arrested him without incident.

The driver, a sixty-year-old male Pittsfield Township resident, was transported to the County Jail. The case will be
turned over to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office for review. The vehicle was impounded and will be
turned over to the Wayne County Airport Police Department.
