Bill Bellamy Promises Laughs
Tyler Perry Back in Drag for with ‘Ladies Night Out’ Tour
More Tomfoolery as Madea Comedian comes to Baltimore April 28-30
By Courtney A. Bonaparte
Special to the AFRO

After performing hundreds of sold-out shows and starring in a plethora of movies and
television shows, renowned funny guy Bill Bellamy has over a decade’s worth of laughs under
his belt. The 46-year-old New Jersey native began his comedy career on a whim that launched
him into great heights in the world of entertainment. He has recently made guest appearances
on Tyler Perry’ s “Meet the Browns” and is the host and executive producer of TV One’s series
“Who’s Got Jokes?” Bellamy promises to bring the funny with the “Ladies Night Out” comedy
tour scheduled to stop in Baltimore April 28-30. The AFRO shared a few laughs with the popular
comedian as he spoke about his views on comedy, his tour and upcoming projects.

AFRO: Who came up with the idea for the “Ladies Night Out” tour?
Bill Bellamy: I created the whole idea. I wanted to do a show that was relationship driven,
where women can get a night to laugh and enjoy how silly we are and how silly they are
and have a good night out. It doesn’t exclude the guys, it’s just [that] a lot of the jokes are
relationship driven. That’s the purpose of the show though. It’s all fun; we give you guys [ladies]
a lot of love.

ESPN reports that no vital
organs were pierced during
the stabbing, and Marshall is
expected to be fully recovered
in two or three weeks. Dolphins
officials told ESPN their team
doctors are allowed to consult
with Marshall and his private
doctors, despite the current
league lockout.
“We are aware of the

a Dolphins official said in a
statement released to the public.
“We will look into the matter,

Marshall was acquired in a
trade with the Denver Broncos
last April, signing a four-
year deal with Miami worth
$47.5 million, $24 million
guaranteed, the AP reports. He
led the Dolphins with 1,014
receiving yards during the
2010 season and also put up
Pro Bowl numbers during his
two years in Denver. His play,
however, was overshadowed
by his behavior off the field.
He was suspended by the
Broncos organization in 2009
after protesting his contract
during a practice session,
walking during running drills
and swatting away balls during
passing drills.
Marshall was also arrested
on assault and domestic
violence charges three different
times between 2004 and 2007
and was tagged as an instigator
in the fight that led to the 2006
shooting death of Broncos
cornerback Darrent Williams,
according to the ESPN.

Green: Going with the

hogs up front is always a
great idea. But, as you said,
that early, it could be a bit
of a reach, which makes
going with a pass rusher an
even better idea. This draft
is stocked with defensive
talent, and if you watched the
Redskins last year, defense
was a huge issue. Basically, it
was a nightmare on that side

considering the offenses and
quarterbacks that play in the
NFC East, you’re going to
need defense if you want to be
competitive in that division.
