 High School Coaches:
Make the Best Use of your
Final 2 WIAA Contact Days*
The WIAA permits up to FIVE unrestricted
school-sponsored “contact days” that must be
completed by the end of July. Contact days
allow a HS coach to coach his or her HS team
in an “official” capacity, on or off school
property, wear school uniforms etc. Contact
days are separate from 2011 WIAA legislation
that allows for unlimited summer contact by
soccer coaches in a non-school setting.
*The format for this tournament is a “legal” use of
WIAA contact days. August 8th is the official start
date for WIAA boy’s high school soccer.
8 v 8 is a fast-paced wide-open game that will
challenge every player’s technical and tactical
abilities as well as match fitness.

returning players ahead of tryouts.”

ENTER MULTIPLE TEAMS: Many schools
enter a varsity and a JV team – easy to do with
a max roster size of14. (Less than $22/player.)

Reindahl Park
The well-kept fields at Reindahl Park are
among the best in the Madison area. Reindahl
is located across from East Towne Mall, just
behind the Arby’s and Office Depot off East
Washington Avenue (Hwy 151).
Game Rules
Format:
8 v 8 (7 field players plus GK)
60-minute games (running clock - 2 x 30
minutes halves w/5-minute half-time)
Subs: Per WIAA rules
Field: 75y x 60y
Full-size goals: 8’ x 24’
WIAA licensed referees will officiate games
Rules:
No offside
GK kick/throws must hit player/field in own
half of field. Penalty: Indirect free kick at
half-way line for opposition
Referee has discretion to order players off to
“cool” down (team does not play short)
All Referee decisions are final
Where not stated, WIAA rules apply
Tournament Format
Saturday, July 30th 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Games will be scheduled every 75 minutes.
Teams will have 5-10 minutes of on field warm-up
before kick-off. Each team will play two 60-minute
games each day.
Sunday, July 31st 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Games will be scheduled every 75 minutes.

Schedule will be released by July 24th
No awards given – just the opportunity to play
four games versus quality opposition!

FINAL team roster must be submitted prior to first game
All team players MUST be registered for Fall 2011
enrollment at the high school for which they are
registered to play in this tournament.
Minimum player age = 14 Maximum player age = 18
There MUST be a designated adult (coach, manager or
parent) present with the team for ALL games. (It does
not have to be the same person for all games.)
The designated adult(s) must provide a cell phone
number to the Tournament Director.
Players MUST wear matching shirts for all games
Players MUST wear shin guards for all games
Please bring your own water and ice.
There is a portable toilet on site.
Limited concessions will be available.
Madison FC Rules
Madison FC has a longstanding partnership with
the City of Madison Parks Department for the
upkeep of Reindahl Park.
Please respect the property by discarding all
trash and adhering to all park rules.
The City of Madison PROHIBITS DOGS in
Reindahl Park.
