Management of 300 Notes Servers around the globe providing support to L2 teams across
LAAM(Latin America),NAAM(North America),MEA( Middle East Europe) and
APAC(Asia Pacific Reason) for General Motors US.

Project Description
General Motors has a well built Lotus Domino environment across various regions
(North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific & Europe). The scope of this project
includes maintenance of the existing Lotus Notes applications, enhancements to the
existing application, develop and roll out new application based on business need.

Contribution

• Interact with L2 team to convert the user requirement to functional specification, for
enhancing the existing applications.
• Provide Production Support to assigned Domino Applications
• Impact analysis on the existing system for any new changes required by the users.
• Motivate the team to perform to their best..
• Level 3 technical support for Lotus Notes Critical operations.
• Implementation of Domino Server Monitoring for efficient monitoring of Domino
Servers thereby proactively reducing the Server Downtime.
• Responsibilities include the maintenance and support of Lotus Notes / Domino Servers
• Specialize in change management(Change Champion) and process documentation for
implementation and installation of changes on servers for L2 Team.
•Testing of Process document provided by engineering team and implementation of those
changes in test environment for global changes and re-engineering of process document if
there is any flaw.
•Work with domino system architects(L4 Engineering Team) for roll out of new
applications and creation of change management plans for L2 teams their validation and
testing.

Description: - Splitting up server archive into two parts so that one part can be
transferred to tape and space can be freed on SAN without impacting local archive of
users.

2. Cross certification of Sametime Servers Domino Administrator

Description: -Cross certification of sametime between two different domain servers to

enable presence awareness and for instant messaging.

3. Up gradation of Blackberry server Implementer and Administrator

Description: - Up gradation of blackberry server from version 4.0.7 to 4.1.6 to enable

support for PDF and MS Office 2007 docs.

4. Up gradation & integration of Sametime with Blackberry

 Implementer and Administrator

Description: -Up gradation of sametime server to version 8.0 and access of sametime to
blackberry users on their blackberry handsets

5. Up gradation of Domino servers Implementer and Administrator

Description: -According to IBM advise upgraded all domino servers from version 7.0.3
FP3 to 7.0.4 FP1 to avoid server crashes due to view updates in domino directory in
Havells-Sylvania domain and upgrade to 8.5.1 FP2 in Havells domain as per client
requirement.

6. Installation of Quickr Server Implementer and Administrator

Description: -Installation of Quickr server Standard version at havells for team
collaboration and its administration and management

7. Installation of LEI Server Implementer and Administrator

Description: -Installation of LEI server to sync the data between I-series server and
domino server. Initially organization was using DECS and facing application issues so
upgraded to LEI as per programming team requirements
