GUIDELINES FOR RESEARCH PROJECT

of MBA

The Research project will be accepted as per following schedule :

25.11.2011

Note : The student whose Project is rejected/disapproved twice by the Guide will be treated
as “REAPPEAR” as per University Rules.

1. The copy of the Title page of approved Final Report duly signed by the Guide
must be added in front of the Project Report. The contents of Report should be :
a. Acknowledgement
b. Title of the Project
c. Review of literature and problem Statement
d. Objectives of the study
e. Research Methodology (Sources of data, Sampling, Tools of analysis)
f. Scope/Relevance of Proposed Study
g. Proposed Questionnaire (if any)
h. References

2. The Final Report should be made as per the following mentioned guidelines:

Main text should be in Arial with 12 font size.


Main headings should be in 14 size Font and bold highlighted
Sub-headings should be in 12 size font, bold highlighted
Line spacing should be 1.5
Tables and figures should be titled above them and centrally aligned.
The report should be numbered centrally on each page starting from the main text.
References should include the papers mentioned in Review of Literature (written

Note : Contents must be in the above sequence to bring uniformity of structure. In Research
Methodology, the students should write the methodology to be used by them in the
completion of the Project.
3. The Research Project may be based on primary or secondary data or both.
4. The contents of the Project Report to be submitted should include:
a. Introduction and Rationale of the topic chosen (not exceeding 5-6 pages)
b. Literature review and problem formulation (minimum 20 relevant references)
c. Objectives and research methodology.
d. Analysis and interpretation of data.
e. Conclusions/finding and recommendation/suggestions.
f. Reference/Bibliography in specified format.
g. Appendix
i. Questionnaire, if any
ii. Interview schedule, if any
iii. List of companies surveyed.
iv. Raw data, if the candidate wants to submit.
v. Graphs/Diagrams etc.
vi. Any other document relevant to the study.
5. Each Research Project should be independent work of a candidate and the same
should have not been jointly prepared by more than one candidate.
6. The Report should be of minimum 100 pages.
7. The Final Report must reach to the office of the Director, by 26th April, 2011

• Two Hard bound copy of Project Report Should be submitted in black colour,
titled in Golden Colour alongwith a CD pasted inside the cover of the report
with Roll no. & Title of the project written on it.

• Do leave the margin of 1.5 inches from the left of the paper, .5 inches from the
right of the paper, 1 inch from the top and bottom.
