Brookside Gardens Volunteer Positions


Gardener Assistant
Volunteers assist with planting and care of a wide variety of
ornamental plants, including weeding, pruning, watering,
grooming, staking, deadheading, preparing garden beds,
mulching, and general clean-up.

Children’s Story Time Volunteer


Read and interpret horitculture related picture books to
preschool children ages 3-6 and assist with creating a story-
related craft. This volunteer opportunity available on weekends.

Event Assistant
Assist with special and seasonal events in the gardens. Help is
needed on weekends, and duties range from assisting with set
up for receptions to directing traffic. Shifts are 4 hours. This is a
great way to get SSL hours and work in the gardens you love!

Light Show Assistant
