What We Look For

Succeeding in the Group Management Cadre requires a combination of creativity, critical


thinking, and people skills. We seek talented, self-motivated people who take the initiative to
pursue new ideas. We want innovative thinkers who take well reasoned risks and think critically
about how to improve existing processes.

Good people skills with clients, partners, customers, and internal teams are imperative. We
need people who work effectively on teams, value individual dignity, and respect the time and
efforts of others.

Successful GMCs excel with high levels of responsibility. They lead projects with important
impact on company performance, customer satisfaction, and internal systems.

Hiring Process
The recruitment process begins in September with a round of campus visits. We send a
recruitment team to hold a series of on-campus information sessions. Currently, we recruit
from India’s top 17 business schools: IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bengaluru, IIM Kolkata, IIM Indore,
IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, XLRI Jamshedpur, XIMB Bhubaneswar, FMS Delhi, IIFT Delhi, IMT
Ghaziabad, MDI Gurgaon, SP Jain Mumbai, JBIMS Mumbai, NMIMS Mumbai, SIBM Pune, and
SCMHRD Pune.

First, we conduct a group interview where we invite candidates to talk about each other’s skills.
This provides us with insight into candidates’ soft skills, interpersonal skills, and personality to
enable us to identify good fits with the Mahindra culture.

Next, interviews with our Human Resources and Business team are held later in the day. This
interview helps us match candidates with positions they will enjoy and excel at. We hold a 100
percent commitment to meet your functional preference and an 80 percent commitment to
meet your top two sector preferences.

Offers are extended immediately after the interview.

The final step in the process is a medical exam at a Mahindra-approved clinic to make sure you
are physically fit to do your job.

Salary
You will receive a competitive salary.

We believe in meritocracy. Our incentive plans reward hard work and personal achievement.
At the end of each fiscal year, we award performance pay determined by both the performance
of your business and your personal performance.

Housing
GMCs based in Mumbai enjoy housing in Mahindra Park, Ghatkopar at the subsidized rate of Rs.
1,000 per month. You will be paired in fully furnished two-bedroom flats with a kitchen, living
room, and washroom. Living arrangements in other locations may be furnished apartments or a
housing stipend.

Phones and Utilities


We subsidize your phone and utility bills.

Vacation
You will receive 20 days of paid leave each year, plus 10 exigency days in case of sickness or
emergency.

Health Insurance
Health insurance policies are determined separately by each Mahindra company, but wherever
you are placed, you will receive excellent healthcare coverage. For example, GMCs working for
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (Automotive Sector, Farm Equipment Sector, and Corporate Center)
receive coverage up to 1 lakh annually. For information regarding other companies, please ask
your HR contact.
