The Bank has approximate staff strength of 4,300 staff, working in 272 branches and its
back offices. As General Manager Human Resources & Administration I was overall
in-charge of HR functions and policy making. I made following contribution towards the
bank’s HR:

Responsibilities 1. Developed and aligned for the first time in the history of the Bank a Strategic
& Achievements Human Resource Plan and synchronized with Business Strategy of the Bank.
2. Developed and implemented Human Resource Policy Manual. (First time in the
history of Bank, Human Resource Manual covering 19 policies, was developed and got
approved from the Board of Directors in a span of 6 months)
3. Developed SMART goals based Performance Appraisal System in almost all areas
of Operations, Marketing and allied functions.
4. Introduced remuneration & reward system based on performance.
5. Developed a system for Human Resource Planning to fulfill the annual and medium
term goals and targets of the Bank (Time & Motion Studies).
6. Planning and initiation of Change Management Process at the Bank.
7. Human Resource Development of Bank’s staff to keep pace with the changing
scenarios including organizational restructuring, technology and business strategies.
8. Introduction of Knowledge Company Initiative which received an overwhelming
response from all levels of employees.
9. Coordination at all levels and across functions through formation of

approach was part of the change management strategy in the Bank.
