We began by building a team. Ergonomists. Physical therapists.
Researchers. And Bruce Fifield of Milan-based Design Continuum
Italia to lead the design. Then we watched so we could learn. What
do people want from their chairs? How do they touch them, sit in
them, swivel, lean back, lean forward, get to work? We examined
what they need from their chairs. Ergonomics that work seamlessly,
controls that work intuitively, posture maintained invisibly. We
scrutinized every detail. Mesh that breathes, a yoke that flexes,
aluminum that recycles, cushioning that soothes, stitching that
whispers, a leather jacket that speaks with confidence. And we
created a chair that enhances any environment, any body.
