VEGETARISM – THE HARD FACT

Because emotional appeal is not enough!

Every vegan is made to feel lovely when he tries to defend his belief. This is primarily because the
defense itself is on weak promise of not killing animals. The only way to win a debate is that defense
should be on basis of hard fact and pure scientific ground . this research is an attempt to empower an
ordinary vegan with basic information about veganism and the science behind veganism.

Sources of information:

Heads & tales (I & II) By Maneka Gandhi , ‘The diet for new American’ and ‘The food revolution by by
john Robinson’ have been primarily source of information in research paper . The report from world
watch institute, physician committee for responsible medicine (PCMR) And medical publication like
Lacnt , British medical journal among others have helped me tracking the newer development that
reinforce findings.

Smart answers to stupid questions???

What about the food shortage, we don’t eat meat where would you get that additional food from?

Meat doesn’t control food shortage , it is in fact the largest single cause for the world’s food shortage.

Apart from fodder , today’s poultry farm use tons of grains. To produce every kg of meat from chicken
one needs 3.4 kg of human-edible nutritious grain, for goat and cows its about 7 kg for pig its 8.4 kg. 1 kg
rice can feed about 12 people while on 1kg of meat its barely 4 people.

What about animal over population, if we don’t kill animals wont they take over earth?

Man barely eats animals from 5 types of animal on a considerable scale …cows , goat , pigs , chicken and
fish. If this was true all other type of animals should have already over populated. The truth is that today ,
man produces food animal ,in factory like farms. For every 10 human beings on earth man has 35
chicken, 4 cows, 4 goats and 3 pigs. All these are purposely and forcefully bred. These rise and drop
depending on market demand and not nature’s will. If left to themselves the number dwindle to what the
nature supports.

Plants also have life, why do we eat them?

Plants don’t have a nervous system that would give pain, since pain is neural response to make a body
part immobile to reduce further injury or alert the mind about a malady. So plants do not go through the
same pain as an animal does. Secondly when you eat an animal you are not just killing the animal but 10
times more of plants which the animal is forced fed and flattened with. The key issue still is…The death
of the animal seems to be a small and less relevant issue in the context of today’s meat producing
techniques. The real issue is the hell of a life animals are forced to live for meat production. Most of them
never see sunlight , are given hormones and steroids to flatten so much that their feet get deformed by
their own weights . Berserk and mad with pain they try to kill each other. To stop this chicken have their
beaks cut with hot blade while conscious. Machines kill thousands of animals per hour while they are
fully conscious.

If we don’t eat meat, from where would we get enough proteins ?

The scientist all over the world would agree it is impossible to create a normal / usual eaten diet even In a
laboratory that provides required calories but is deficient in protein humanbeing needs 4.5 to 7% protein
as per who and other national dieticians
