There are 3 steps to view the DVR through the domain name.
1. First step – How to Create a Account and Register your DVR in DYNDNS.
Creating an Account:-
(a) Go to WWW. Dyndns.com
(b) Click the create free Dynamic DNS Service account
(c) These will Popup new window, Please fill the blank, and note down the User name & passwords.
(This may requires for modem & Domain name configuration.

2. Second step – How to do modem port forwarding.
(a) Logon to the modem in which DVR connected directly or via network switch. Enter the modem
gate way in IE browser for e.g. 192.168.1.1 this will prompt for user name and password by default it
may be admin and admin or get the user name and password from the ISP provider.
(b) Go to Advanced setting and select NAT -> NAT Virtual Setup -> add port, there select service
“WWW” and enter the IP address of the DVR for e.g. 192.168.1.100, start and end port address is 80
and 80 and select protocol TCP. Once again forward for different port select add port there select
custom services enter “Media port” and enter the IP address i.e. 192.168.1.100 start and end port is
9000 and 9000 and select protocol TCP and Save the changes.
(c) Select NAT -> Enable DMZ Host and enters the DVR IP address for e.g. 192.168.1.100 and save
the changes.
(d) Select DNS -> Dynamic DNS enter the Host name, Account name & Password entered in the
Dyndns.com. and save the changes.
(e) go to maintenance select Save the setting and reboot your modem.

3. Third step – How to set DDNS Setting in DVR.
In DVR go to Setting -> Network -> Static IP address and it should be related to Local LAN and also it should
be according to the ISP (for e.g. IP 192.168.1.100, Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 Gateway 192.168.1.1 DNS
203.187.244.13) Select DDNS enter the name as “sdvr9004” service dyndns.org. This will reboot the DVR.
FAQ:-
PC displays only the DVR screen and it is not displaying any videos, you may need to activate the active X
controls or JAVA files required.
In IE browser go to Tools -> Internet Option -> Security settings -> Internet -> Custom Level, “Enable” option
where ever the word contains ACTIVE X. Repeat the same step Local Intranet also. This will enable PC to
download the videos.
