people are so busy it is hard to find
them at home. Phone calls, email,
and text messages seem to be the

I visit on Monday and Tuesday
nights. Recently I went to six homes
and no one was home. On the way
home, I stopped by Publix for milk.
While there, I ran into eight members,
one neighbor and two prospects. I’m
thinking about starting a grocery store
ministry. Wherever you go, look for
opportunities to witness about Christ
and His church.

so faithful in all you do. Your ser-

Community Groups (K-Groups)
Community groups will start back on Tuesday, May 24.
We will be reading through Desiring God by John Piper
and meeting each week. Books will be $5. We will
meet for discussion, at the Mohajerin house @ 7 p.m.
College Disciple Now - Make plans to attend Disci-
ple Now in Orange Beach, June 16-18 (Thursday-
Saturday). We’ll leave from the church at 8 a.m. on
Thursday and return Saturday evening so we can wor-
ship at our church or Sunday morning. Cost is $75, but
there are scholarships available. Travel, meals, and the
beach are included in the price!
Ava Grant will be participating in the Summer Beach
Project with Campus Outreach from Troy University for
ten weeks this summer. She will work a full time job
while also being involved in various missions-related
activities in the Destin, FL area. Ava will also be in-
volved in one of the local churches.
Hannah Russell will be leaving this Sunday to serve
as a missionary for ten weeks on the campus of New
Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans,
LA. Hannah will be serving through the North
American Mission Board and will be involved with
Camp NOLA Kids, a day camp, teaching Bible stories
and recreation. Please be in prayer for both Ava and
Hannah as well as all college summer missionaries.
4th & G.O. (Gospel Outreach)
4th Monday & G.O. is a special
Outreach Ministry from March
through October. Deacons,
teachers, members, and church
staff will make door-to-door visits and phone calls
to church members, guests and prospects for a time
of prayer and praise! Our next 4th & G.O. is
scheduled for May 23. Meet in the Fellowship
Hall between 4-7 p.m. Pancakes and sausage will
be served at 5:00 p.m.
Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief - Update
Over 8,500 volunteers are working in
disaster relief efforts, not counting
volunteers from local churches
working directly with affected
churches. There were seven Southern Baptist
churches totally destroyed, and 39 received moderate
to severe damage. Please continue to pray for all
affected by the storms and for volunteers as they
minister in affected areas across our state. Donations
needed at this time are wash cloths, towels, shampoo,
soap, toothpaste and non-perishable canned foods,
(no clothes). The list is updated often. If you have
any questions, contact Billy Dickey for more
information.
New Orleans Mission Trip (Mission Changed)
July 10-16, 2011, we will work through the Alabama
Baptist Convention. Details should be finalized by
mid-June. Please call or email Billy Dickey with
contact information, and as soon as a project is
selected, information will be provided to those
interested in helping with tornado relief. You can

The Community of Hope is having a
fundraiser and needs your old phone
books to recycle. Put the books in the
"Missions Baskets" around the church.
Forest Park Ministry Center
During the month of May, we will be collecting
non-perishable food items for the Forest Park

meats and peanut butter. Also needed are diapers
