We would not encourage you to travel by car into the centre of London if it is avoidable,
but if you really have to then please visit
http://www.westminster.gov.uk/carparks/disabledparking.cfm to view disabled parking in the
vicinity of Millbank and Trafalgar Square, but please be aware due to high demand in
central London on a Saturday, these may not be available.
The March
The march from Millbank to Trafalgar Square will be approximately a mile and a half through
central London streets. A map of the route can be found on our website
http://www.endchildpoverty.org.uk/keepthepromiseevent.
If within your group there are children or adults with mobility needs or families with very young
children who may not be able to take part in a march of this length, please email
info@edcm.org.uk with the number of people in your group and any mobility or access needs
they have and campaign staff will be able to advise you of alternative arrangements.
The Rally
At the end of the march, we will arrive in Trafalgar Square where there will be activities on
stage lasting one hour. A viewing space will be set aside for people in wheelchairs on the
North Terrace of Trafalgar Square in front of the National gallery. Stewards will help point the
way.
There will also be stalls run by member charities and a playbus which will stay open until
approximately 3.45pm. There are no childcare facilities provided at the event and all
children must be accompanied by an adult.
Alternatively you can use the Café on the Square, which is at the bottom of the central
staircase, to the right as you face the National Gallery – this may get very busy! The café has
an induction loop and is wheelchair accessible; access by lift is from the north terrace. There
are also a range of cafes, takeaways and restaurants in the surrounding area.
Once in Trafalgar square the public toilets are situated on the west side of the square at the
base of the central staircase. From the north terrace, the toilets and can be accessed by lift.

First aid
St John Ambulance will be on hand at the event to provide first aid if needed. First aid staff will
be walking along the march route. They will be recognisable as they will be wearing uniforms
or high visibility tabards.

rally, please email us at info@edcm.org.uk and we will do our best to meet your needs.
