Layout of Final Research Report – PGDM 6th Sem ,Batch 2009-11

General Instructions
• The Research Report carries 6 credits i.e., 200 marks (100 marks for the Research Report
and 100 marks for Presentation and Viva voce ) The Research study can be based on
Primary data, secondary data analysis, case study etc.
• The students will be allotted a Research Guide and they are advised to take necessary
guidance and report to them on a regular basis throughout the project.
• The number of pages should be between 60 and 80 with 40 % focus on theoretical concepts
and 60% on Research Methodology, Data Analysis and Interpretation.
• The report should be neatly typed on A-4 size paper in Times New Roman font with 11 size
for body text, 12 size for sub-headings and 14 size for headings and chapter title.
• The entire report should be 1.5 spaced with 1 inch margin on top, right and bottom sides
and 1.5 inch margin on left side.
• The page numbering for the pages upto and including Table of Contents should be in roman
small numbers (i.e., i, ii, iii and so on). Thereafter, starting from Introduction, pages should
be numbered as 1, 2, 3 and so on.
• In Bibliography of References, detailed reference is required for each data source, whether
it is a book, journal, magazine, newspaper, government publication or a website. The format
of providing reference :

Report binding Guidelines


1. The cover page of the report is to be printed on laminated white card sheet and colour
scheme has to be followed as given in the soft copy.

2. The report has to be spirally bound using pink colour transparency sheet on both sides.

3. Two (02) copies of the report must be prepared by each student. One report is to be
submitted to the respective Research Guide and one (photo copy version with the original
certificate) is to be retained by the student. The Research Guide will be issuing the
certificates to the student only after they are completely satisfied with the report including
its content and format.
