Technology
The ‘zip’ technology which closes and secures the
standing seams is totally non-penetrative - no holes

Sports facilities, whether dedicated to one kind of sport
or providing a multi-games arena in true Olympic style,
have much in common architecturally. The buildings
must be easily accessed; provide ample and safe
seating for spectators with optimum views from all
aspects of the sports event in progress; allow for safe
and swift evacuation in the event of emergency; provide
adequate facilities for competitors and staff before,
during and after events; usually, provide appropriate
accommodation and facilities for media and they must
be designed and constructed with due consideration to
existing residents in near proximity to the building.

And, of course, facilities have to be suitably constructed

for the sports that they are principally designed to
house. For example ice rinks and swimming pools can
be roofing system ‘killers’. Corrosion resistance,
condensation control, thermal performance and noise
absorption are all essential ‘needs’ with conflicting
demands and ‘risk’ for roofing system choice.
