Class VIII (2011- 2012)

1. Project of “Statistics” is to be made using following steps:

STEP 1 : Introduction
a) Uses of Statistics
b) Why do we learn statistics
c) Definition of all concepts of Statistics e.g. raw data, observations etc.

STEP 2 : Make a survey and collect information of at least 40 observations

a) Prepare a grouped frequency data table for the above collected date
b) Find the range of the data
c) Find class size
d) Also find class mark of each interval
e) Which class has maximum and minimum frequency.

STEP 3 Paste the picture of any histogram. Form at least six questions for the
histogram and answer them.

STEP 4 Prepare a pie chart of any data of your choice. Find the fraction of the circle
representing each of the information given in your pie-chart

Do in A4 size sheets (plane /ruled/coloured) and make a file .


You use eco-friendly materials to decorate your file.
