MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION

1 THE NAME OF THE : The name of the society is LOK

. SOCIETY NYAY FOUNDATION

4 AIMS AND OBJECTS : The aims and objects for which the

. society is established are:

MAIN OBJECTS:

The main objects for which the Company is established are:

1. To do and undertake the task of providing and promoting free legal

aid services to the needy and poor people.


2. To do and undertake the task of educating the people by imparting

the training, conducting legal aid workshops, creating research in

legal processes, research and development of conventional and

non-conventional seeking to legal services and justice through

courts and creating and promoting awareness about the utilization

of the same.

3. To undertake the Development of legal education, to set up the

legal aid clinics in rural sections of Delhi

4. To do and undertake the task of village cleanliness programmes

and to create awareness among the people of rural sector of the

state of Delhi.

5. To do and undertake the task of creating awareness about the

epidemic diseases.

6. To set up the superstitions eradication programmes and organise it

in various parts of rural Delhi and create awareness about the

same.

7. To do all such other lawful things as are incidental or conducive to

the attainment of the above objects:

Provided that the company shall not support with its funds, or

endeavor, to impose on, or procure to be observed by, its members


or others, any regulation or restriction which, if an object of the

company, would make it a trade union.

8. To establish a center or centers for scientific research in all such

branches of knowledge as in the opinion of the society would

promote the material and industrial welfare in India.

9. To channelize international knowledge and expertise in these fields

of work and to adapt them for use under Indian conditions.

10.To disseminate knowledge, provide training and education in the

aforesaid fields, establish and maintain schools, colleges,

lectureships, libraries, museums, auditoriums, studies, workshops

and scientific equipments.

11.To develop, promote or acquire know-how of processes, scientific

knowledge, benefits of Research and similar property or other rights

and to exploit and to permit exploitation thereof in such manner

and on such terms as may be found fit.

OBJECTS INCIDENTAL OR ANCILLARY TO THE ATTAINMENT OF

THE MAIN OBJECTS:

12.To encourage, reward and assist research scholars, scientists,

technologists, practitioners and teachers in the fields mentioned in

the Main Objects.


13.To grant loans, scholarships, awards or other financial assistance to

individuals, institutions, Universities, etc. in furtherance of the Main

Objects.

14.To create web-site of the society and to publish newsletters and

collateral periodicals;

15.To Invite Indian and foreign delegates, faculties and speakers

related to science and medical field as visiting professors/faculties;

16.To publish proceedings of seminars or symposia and distributing or

selling them;

17.To participate in national and international symposiums/seminars.

18. To establish, grant aid or financial assistance to hospitals,

preclinical or clinical research centers including liaison with

Government (Central and State) and relevant Government bodies

wherever necessary to promote the Main Objects.

19. To borrow or receive money (with interest or without interest) and

upon such terms and conditions as are approved by the Governing

Council of the society.


20. To engage, employ, or hire appropriate staff, workers, legal experts,

and other professionals, attorneys, managers and agents for the

work and furtherance of the aims and objects of the society and to

pay their wages, salaries, stipends or fees.

21. To receive financial and non financial assistance from Government,

Non Government Organization, International Agencies, Banks and

any other legal entity or individual.

22. To accept donations, grants, presents, gifts and other offerings in

the shape of movable and / or immovable properties for the

attainment of the aims and objects.

23. To invest the money of the society not immediately required, in

mutual funds, UTI, Securities or Deposits and other as permitted by

the law from time to time being in force.

24. To purchase / acquire the land and / or the building in the name of

the society for the attainment and fulfillment of the aims of the

society.

25.To erect, construct, alter, maintain, sell, lease, mortgage, transfer,

improve, develop, manage, and control all or any part of the

property or the building of the above society, necessary or


convenient for the purpose of the attainment of the Aims and

Objects of the Society.

26. To publish Books, Charts, Illustrations, Journals, Magazine,

Periodicals, News Letters / Papers and other publications in different

languages and on different subjects.

27.To do such other things / acts/ activities, which are necessary and

which may be incidental or conducive to the attainment of aims and

objects of the society.

28.The Aims and objects of the society shall be purely for charitable

purpose.

29. All the acts / activities/ programs shall be non profitable and shall

be done on “No Profit – No Loss basis”. Society will invest its money

and funds according to Sec.11 (5) of Income Tax Act, 1961.

30.To acquire by purchase or otherwise hold on lease, hire or rent or

by exchange any moveable or immoveable property or properties.

31.To establish any fund to further the interest of the Society.


32.To engage in any other lawful activity which may be conducive to

the promotion of any or all the objects of the Society mentioned

above on no profit motive.

33.All the income, earnings, moveable / or immoveable properties of

the society shall be solely utilized and applied towards the

promotion of its aims and objects only as set forth in the

Memorandum of the Society and no profit thereof shall be paid or

transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividends, bonus, profits

or in any manner whatsoever to the present or the past members of

the society or to any person claiming through anyone or more of

the present or the past members. No member of the society shall

have any personal claim on any moveable or immovable properties

of the society or make any profit, whatsoever, by virtue of this

membership.
