66 employees. It was struggling in many areas. However, with the implementation
of new programs and getting teamwork in place many improvements have been made i
n a very short time. This is a company with Tetra-Pack, Co-Pack, Production and
Manufacturing with a variety of products.
Doggett Machinery Services, (John Deere) Kenner, LA
Service Manager
March 2008 to April 2009
Annual sales of this branch $8M with 16 employees reporting to me.
The facility in Kenner was in a state of confusion and low morale. I was called
upon to take the challenge and turn the operation into a more positive direction
.
Implementing teamwork and with a take charge by example with positive leadership
, improvements were made to take the facility to a higher level of the operation
. Taking a poor customer based relationship and improving it into a positive wor
king relations thus, increasing the customer base with customers that had stoppe
d or were about to stop doing
business with Doggett bringing them into the fold.
Nortrax /Stribling Equipment LLC, (John Deere) Memphis, TN. 38132 2004-2008
Service Manager
Moved to Nortrax in October 2004 to once again take over a struggling service bu
siness. Increased staff from 6 to 11 technicians. Increased the annual revenues
to average of $1.5M monthly with 60-65% Gross margins. Reduced average days to c
lose on work in progress (WIP) from 23 days to 5 days. Stribling, LLC purchased
the branch 9/24/2007.
ESS Corporation (Case), Memphis, TN 38132 2002-2004
Service Manager
Joined the company after relocating to Memphis, improved profitability and built
service department from 5 technicians to 10 and increased revenue from $40K mon
thly to $1M annually. Implemented new programs for technician accountability and
profit.
The Edlong Corporation, Elk Grove Village, IL. 1991-2001
President /Operations/Manufacturing Manager/Maintenance Engineer
Joined the company at the request of the owner to bring facilities and equipment
to food industry standards in the capacity of Maintenance Engineer.
After one year of managing the maintenance department, training staff, personall
y directing the erection and complete installation of two large spray dryers, in
cluding all electrical, pipe fitting and start up and developing manuals for the
operators and all
documentation for ISO9000 certification was promoted in 1992 to Vice President o
f Engineering.

Promoted in 1993 to Vice President of Manufacturing while maintaining title of V
ice President of Engineering. Quickly re-engineered the department with emphasis
on training and TQM philosophy. Sought out and hired a new management team to r
un the department. With the help of this new team, reduced product defects to th
e lowest levels in the history of the company. Promoted in 1994 to Executive Vic
e President to begin the process of turning the business around due to the mis-m
anagement of the inventory control, marketing and sales departments. Restructure
d and changed the top management team to drive sales and rework processes throug
hout the company, including implementing a new database system for the organizat
ion. Improved downward spiraling
sales from $8M to $11M within ten months, keeping the company from declaring ban
kruptcy and turning a $1M profit by the end of the year.
Promoted to President and continually increased positive morale, productivity, a
nd sales.
