THE I-RISE BAKERY

Goodness gracious, such gracious goodness! That's how we do it, y'all. Rollin' down that
righteous track, no turnin' back! Summer is right around the corner, and we're sooo ready for
warm weather & longer days & lots of chilling with friends & family. We'll be making some sort
of travel plans for much later on in the summer, we'll let you know. Let us know how we can
adjust to fit with all your possible vacation plans, too, we're at your service. We usually do a
pretty good job of working with everybody's individual plans & needs.
Ok, we have to get some feedback from you all on a matter that we can no longer avoid. Fuel
prices have gone up considerably over the last few months, and, being a delivery service, our
costs have gone up BIG-TIME. It's not just the fuel we have to use to deliver your baked goods,
but many of our ingredient costs have increased as well because our vendors' fuel costs have
gone up, too. We are always reluctant to raise prices, but things sure ain't gettin' any better. What
do we do? A 50-cent increase on every item, straight across the board? Just charge $30 a month?
We want it to be easy for all of you, so give us a ring & give us some ideas. A price change may
have to happen as soon as July, because time plenty tuff, mon.
On to the GOOD news, though, okay?........
Week #1 we'll make one our earliest recipes, the Whole-Grain Sourdough. Full of crunchy grains
& seeds, it's a very basic but super-versatile loaf. We'll do one of our most-requested loaves for
Week #2, our unbelievable Garlic-Rosemary bread. TONS of roasted garlic & rosemary from our
garden--da BOMB. We're excited about the Cracked Wheat-Lentil-Flax Bread for Week #3, too--
talk about texture. Week #4 it's another of our classics, the Oatmeal Molasses bread which is a
great sandwich loaf. We'll finish it all off with the Whole Wheat Poppy Seed & Sunflower bread,
one our personal favorites.
There's some good stuff on the Specials menu, too. In the spirit of wearing not much more than
shorts & slippahs for the next few months, it's time for the Irie Vibes Tropical Granola. We love all
the tropical dried fruits, but we're really only doing it to get Vicki off our back (haha you know I
love you!). And we'll probably consume hundreds of the Oatmeal Chocolate & PB Chip Cookies
by the end of the month by ourselves. Better get your order in early to make sure there are some
left for you. The Orange Currant Scones were such a hit in May that they will be on the menu
again this month. Same with Grampa's Favorite Spice Loaf. We know Grampa would be proud.
So please hit us up with your feedback on an inevitable price increase. We'd hate to lose any of
our valued customers, but we gotta eat, too. We know you love our goodies & want to keep us
around, so let us know how you feel. Thanks as always for all of your support for all these years.
