COVER LETTER

For the past 8 years I have been the Director of Operations and Consultant for a
n electrical firm primarily engaged in New York City School Construction Authori
ty work. This firm acted as both a General Contractor and performed the Electric
al and Fire Alarm work. The bid range of these contracts were between $1mm and $
4mm. My duties included the over-view of the following,
1-Bid proposals.
2-All relevant documentation.
3-Review of all RFI'S, Change Orders along with required Logs.
4-All required correspondences.
5-Overview of all payment requisitions.
6-monitoring of all accounts receivables.
7-Furnishing all necessary close-out documentation.
8- Insuring that all requirements are met such as controlled inspections, FID in
spections and filing with all regulatory agencies.

I have performed SCA work for over 15 years and am a detailed, paper-oriented in
dividual who over the years has developed a strong working relationship with all
levels and divisions of the SCA and the Department of Design and Construction.
Prior to the above I was the General Super for a Construction Management firm al
so engaged in New York City School Construction Authority work and overviewed th
e completion of over 400 schools with the contract being worth in excess of $ 26
0 Million dollars.
I have a general knowledge of all construction trades as through the years I hav
e at one time or another performed these trades and appreciate the labor involve
d. Over the last 15 years my career has gravitated towards the administration en
d. I am seeking employment with either a General Contractor or Construction Mana
gement firm engaged in Public works projects. I have always found SCA work to be
ongoing and am interested in only a firm looking to grow with this type of work
.
I appreciate any consideration that would be given to my abilities and welcome t
he opportunity to interview for a position with your firm. If you are a smaller
firm with growth potential I would entertain working on a part time basis.
Sincerely,

Kevin Madigan
