Testimony: Cheng Sreyhom has lived at NHO since September 20,
days@yahoo.com
2007. She told us her testimony as follows:
Website : “My mother died by disease in the year of 2004. We lived at my grand-
www.nhoasia.org mother’s house for 2 years. During that time, my siblings and I worked
hard, bringing water from a far place because my village didn’t have any
well but now there are many wells in each village. Sometimes I didn’t have
any time to go to school. One day, Pastor Chay went to evangelize in my
village and he brought us to New Hope Children’s Homes. We are all thank-
P.O Box: 1680 ful to God and the sponsors who give us love and help us every time. In the
future, I want to be a teacher.”
Phnom Penh,
Cambodia. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for
the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”. Matthew 19:14
Keo Narong is reading a book from her public school

Testimony: ”My name is Keo Narong and my parents were farmers. We lived in a village of
Kampong Cham province. In addition to planting rice, my father always traveled to Phnom Penh
city to be a construction worker. A few months later, he would come back home and give my
mother some money. My father liked drinking wine and smoking cigarettes so he had a lot of health
problems. One day, he died of a brain fever. My mother is very poor and can’t support my sister and
I so she brought us to the Kampong Cham children’s home to live. She told me that I need to study
hard. Now, my sister and I have many brothers and sisters in Christ.” When Narong met with the
NHO team, we asked her to read Cambodian literature. She can do it. She is a very smart, lovely
girl.
And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. Matthew 18:5

Outreach to the village : Two times per month, Vandy selects five of the children to go to do an outreach
to the village children in some villages of Kampong Cham province. They get up early in the morning to travel
there to share the good news of Jesus Christ to these village children. For the whole day, the children from
seven villages, about 150 children, come to listen and sing to praise the LORD with our children. We are
proud of our children who are growing up in the Holy Spirit and are sharing this with other children. They say
that they will continue to reach out to the various village children for Jesus Christ.

Education : Education is very important for all people, especially for youths. In the Kampong Cham New
Hope Children’s home, there are 3 youth studying at the high school in twelfth grade. Besides studying at the
public school, they study extra lessons for their exams. In addition, the houseparents arranged a schedule for
them to learn English at home. Small children learn from 5 pm to 6 pm and youth learn from 6 pm to 7 pm.
While they are learning English, some volunteers come to visit their home, providing a good opportunity to
practice speaking and listening from them. Some of the youth can speak English with the volunteers or with
USA and Singaporean teams. Thank you,
Jee Young Kim for supporting our English
teacher at Kampong Cham children’s home.
