* Responsible for the implementation of the value chain process for the flag sto
res Del Sol & Woolworth, from suppliers' deployment to the exhibition floor.
* Implemented S&OP to improve planning, reduce OOSs & manage inventories in a si
ngle business process.
* Accountable for the company results for NOS revenue, inventory control, wareho
use management, transportation, product supply (automatic replenishment) and ven
dor development.

Gillette - P&G Latin America Value Chain / Transition Team Leader for Latin Amer
ica 2005 - 2006
* Executive and Sr Advisory role with L.A. responsibility to integrate the value
chain operations from The Gillette Co. into the P&G Product Supply organization
. Strategy depicted a full Demand Mgmt and Supply Chain organization, foreign tr
ade, warehousing and distribution, customer service and accounts receivable plus
links into the sourcing areas. Operations were successfully completed for 18 co
untries (and 19 Mfg sites) with a total savings pool of $28 MM; +4.5M new skus a
nd +500 new roles/employees.
After completion with no business disruption for the 1st phase and achieving +$2
MM USD in savings and cost avoidance for the value chain activities L.A. became
the role model for the global integration plan rolled out for rest of the P&G P
S organization world wide.
* Responsible for the Customization Re-invention project design and steering tea
m member for the top key value chain regional initiatives as part of the go to m
arket relaunch. Tasks included remodeling and reinventing current process to a q
uicker, better and lower cost differentiation to our customers targeting benefit
s of +$10 MM for a 14 markets' network with +50 WHs, +2.4M heads, ~420 MSq2 and
+380M pp's along with renegotiation with major service and product suppliers.
Iberia Value Chain Director / Grupo Gillette Spain 2001 - 2005
* Based in Madrid, Spain, led the implementation of the Value Chain for all 4 Gi
llette business units, championing the in-house restructure for head count & bud
gets and links with the major trade accounts for Spain, Portugal and the Canary
Islands.
* Directed the S&OP process implementation and the linkage with the sourcing ne
twork, achieving an incremental ratio of 8% customer fill rate, freight savings
of +$1MM/yr and inventory down to 42DOH vs. 65DOH European benchmark.
* Led the Trade Renegotiation project for major accounts for order flow, dispatc
h & control and trade's inventory reduction.
* Led implementation of major local initiatives for value chain participating in
the European innovative activities towards new business models for modern trade
and best business practices harmonization. Achievement of this effort were the
consolidation of the Iberian stocking points (5 to 1), customer tail reduction (
50% down) and collaborative demand planning with customers; customer service and
working capital improved in $3MM and operational savings of +$4MM.
As strategic partner for the Value Chain European leadership team developed glob
al initiatives for Functional Excellence and innovative strategies for Customer
Service, Promotional Activity planning, Product supply, After Sales Service, Sou
rcing Initiatives and Reverse logistics with regional achievements of 15% improv
ement on promotional customer service and savings of 10% over the regional spent
pool.
Latin America Distribution Strategy Mgr. / Gillette Latin America
1999 - 2001
* Based at the Boston, MA USA HQ offices I designed the regional strategy and se
t up of the company global vision for Distribution Centers, Supply WHs, Packing
Centers, WH&Distr. Freight and Mgmt processes for the LA region, defining and e
nsuring the Distr & Logistics best practices implementation. This brought a redu
ction of regional stocking points and integration of co packing activities allow
ing savings of 4% for foreign trade expenses, 10% reduction in WHs cost and 15%
cost reduction using new Free Trade zones, direct shipments to hubs & clients,
better Caribbean supply network and implementation of new WH Mgmt systems.
National Warehousing & Distribution Mgr. / Gillette Mexico
1998 - 1999
* Developed and implemented new practices of logistics operations for the nation
al network increasing customer service for +3M delivery points. In charge of sel
ecting outsourcing suppliers while ensuring good safekeeping practices for the c
ompany assets & working capital. A sound inventory management achievement of $6
MM usd inventory reduction and operating cost decrease obtained through the init
iatives under my supervision

* Led the design and implementation of strategies for Customer Services and prod
uct availability throughout 4 Regional Offices and +30 Service Centers nationwid
e by integrating Logistics, Customer Services, Demand & Order Entering and Invoi
cing and Administrative Services with a carriers' network nationwide to serve di
rect sales. Achievements included the development of new logistics strategies to
cover ~3M locations, 7 regional warehouses and +150 third parties distribution
centers with a monthly volume over +150M orders and +2.5 MM units in volume, the
establishment of a new mercantile contract for the services network and the inc
rease of delivery service rates in 10% to an stable 98% with operational cost cu
ts of 5% over total sales.
* As member of the steering team that divested the operations for the L.A. regio
n I achieved the L.A. legal entities creation, product registration, government
and health permits and financial goals within the committed time frame.
