NUMBERS?
Numbs. 1: 1- 4:20.
I. We are about to delve headlong into a Torah portion filled with mystic
and intrigue! The Hebrew language affording us insight not found in the
woefully misnomered, English title ‘Numbers’. As our custom is, let’s first
examine the phrase from which the Hebrew title is taken:
• ְּבִמְדַּבר
In the wilderness: bemidbar. Although we’re looking at a
combination of words melded together they also tell a comprehensive story.
Beit-Mem, ‘bam’, forms a Hebrew pronoun, ‘in them’, while Dalet-Beit-Resh,
forms the word Dabar, #1696, to speak, declare, a promised word. Thus, it can
be rendered, ‘Speak a promised word in them’. The numerical value of the
letters in Bemidbar = 248, the same as the Hebrew word, #7358, rehem, which
means, womb, or belly, the place where a fetus develops and exits at birth.
The “promised word” is the SEED, promised even before the worlds’
foundation is laid (Rev. 13:8) because the Lamb was slain to pay the penalty
for the Adulterous Bride and bring the Promised Seed – Messiah!
We must make the connection here with the dual –although contradictory
-meaning of wilderness: On the surface it implies a place of desolation, or an
uncultivated or uninhabited place. Which implies its’ condition until Israel is
brought there to reclaim or repopulate it upon the Hearing of the Word!
(Josh. 1: 1 every place the sole of your foot treads I have given you…) History
and current evidence proves even the wilderness was given to Israel.
The hidden Hebrew meaning now infers the darkness is a place/womb where
the Branch is planted and protected, in the waters, to the shouting of
multitudes; this shouting could also be complaints of distress! Ex. 15:23 – 25
tells us Israel is thirsty at Marah and YHVH instructs Moshe to throw a
Tree/Branch into the waters to sweeten them and stop the roar! REMEMBER
THIS! Both of these scenarios are a fulfillment of Numbs. 5 and the Bitter
Waters of Jealousy given to the adulterous Bride!
Stop! Let’s look at the timeframe of B’midbar.
Numbers 1
II. …on the first [day] of the second month…The second month on the
Hebrew calendar is Iyar [Babylonian] (a.k.a. Ziv), written א ר י יit is cognate
with the word for light, #216, ' אורowr, while the Hebrew word Ziv, #2099,
זוZiv, is translated as radiance, brilliant. The gematria of Ziv (Zayin-7, Vav-6
= 13) is equal to the number associated with the Bride and also the Hebrew
word for love, ahava.
The Rabbis teach Iyar represents the actual source of light (YHVH) while Ziv
represents the expansion of that light as it shines far from the source
(Messiah) or, Messiah (Sun) Bride (Moon)! Creation is a picture of the Womb
ready to receive the Seed/Light/Word of YHVH the womb is compromised by
Lucifer – the false light – and now is in an adulterous situation with a cursed
womb! YHVH speaks into the dead womb restoring it and separating the two
seed [light/darkness].
The Wilderness becomes that same womb – desolate, dead, barren, cursed,
until YHVH speaks Light/radiance into it. Back in Gen. 1: 6,7 after separating
the seed, (light & darkness) the waters break releasing the Firstborn – Adam -
who sins and is cut off until the 2nd Adam comes. From the time the waters of
Genesis are breached until Adam is created is 4 days.
Remember “without form and void” – Tohu v’bohu? (gematria = 430) While
in Egypt Israel – YHVH’s Firstborn is in this waste and desolate womb, the
dead womb of an adulterous bride. The BRANCH IS THROWN INTO THE
WATERS – Israel is ransomed, leaves Egypt where the waters of the Red
Sea/Womb are breached.
Israel spends 40years in the wilderness from the time the Red Sea waters are
breached until Israel/Adam the Firstborn who sinned dies in the wilderness.
Josh. 6 follows this same line of thought when Israel breaks the waters of
Jordan after the SEED/ARK/Light is placed in the womb, and the Second
ADAM the Pierced One is birthed.
It is no accident that the word for Red, #5488, סוףcuwph, translated as reeds
(poorly, I might add) can also mean to be fulfilled, ended, conclusion. It refers
to the physical rear or end of something – I.E. OUR DAY AS WELL (Is.
46:10). The Ancients felt the Red Sea was literally the End of the Earth, the
Edge.
III. As this group is assembled at Sinai, all future generations of Israel are
represented. *Note the language of Numbers 1: 2 Take ye the sum of all the
congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the
house of their fathers, with the number of [their] names, every male
by their polls; Let’s focus on the latter part of the verse:
This verse could now read, Take the sum of all the congregation of Israel,
according to their families and the house of their Fathers…Out of this BOOK,
a record will be kept as a memorial of the NAME [Eph. 3: 14,15] that was
ordained as a sign, to remember the Seed-line of the parents [Adam-Eve] at
Golgotha!
Ex. 32: 32, YHVH has a book written. Dan. 7:10, Dan. 12:4, Mal. 3:16, Rev.
3:5. Is it possible that the Hebrew language that Daniel helped to conceal,
which now is being opened [Zeph. 3: 8,9] may hold the key to unlocking the
natural genealogical record of the House of Israel as well as, the spiritual
genealogy? Many Torah patterns would suggest so!
Dan. 12:4 instructs him to “shut up the words and seal the book unto the time
of the end”.
• Shut, #5640, סתםcatham, stop, to stop up, plug up, as in a well. To hide
or keep a secret.
• Seal, #2856, חתםchatham, to set a seal on, seal up, the act of affixing an
impression on something to serve as a seal. The impression of the Paleo letters
were changed to hide them until the end.
The root of both words is: Tav-Mem, Tam, #8537, completeness, integrity,
perfect. As an adverb, it indicates a specific place, where. Thus, the true
meaning, integrity of the perfect language was affected by this ‘sealing’ until a
specific time and place where the language would again reveal its’ secrets!
Israel will again be taken into the wilderness. Ezek. 20: 35, 36, 37. There we
will once again be counted as we pass under the rod. Tradition says that the
Shepherd would shut his flock in one fold, in which was a narrow gate, to be
let out one at a time. He would stand by the gate with a rod dipped in
vermilion/red and each 10th animal became the tithe, belonging to YHVH.
Incidentally, this is how the previous Torah portion ends – Lev. 27: 32-34
passing under the rod! Ironically, the color vermilion is mentioned only in Jer.
22:14, & Ezek. 23:14 and is associated with idolatry and harlotry!
ש ַֽליהָֽוה׃
ׁ ְהֶיה־ֹּקֶדyִֽיihiy kodesh l’YHVH. The gematria of these letters
totals 490. The number of Daniel’s 70 weeks and the number of Israel’s
judgment for not allowing the land its’ Sabbaths. 70 years times 7 =490 years
the end of which is known as Jacob’s Trouble, the final 7 years.
490 is also the gematria of Japheth, #3315, the 3rd son of Noah whose name
means to sever, cut off, single out; from the root pathah #6601, which means,
spacious – open, (as in the mind – womb) gullible, deceived, seduced. Thus, a
severing – by the rod – will take place. Removing those seduced by the enemy
and restoring those who return. The phrase above – by changing vowel points
– could be rendered, shall be temple prostitutes unto YHVH! These are being
removed!
It is interesting that 490 is also the gematria of meleket, #4446, a fem. noun
meaning queen and use solely to designate the worship of the fertility goddess
in Jer. 7:18 known as the Queen of Heaven – Astarte, the root of the word,
molek, is the male counterpart of this pagan god! Both are still seen during
Mardi Gras, Easter, and Christmas.
No wonder the church is going to endure the tribulation of the coming days.
The priests no longer teach, nor protect the HEART of YHVH, the Torah.
The gematria of these letters, Qof-100, Tzadi-90, Pey-80 =270, the same as the
Hebrew word #7452, Resh-Ayin, rea, a loud, thunderous shout, connected
with the idolatrous Israelites, who shouted to their gods during the Golden
Calf incident!
Aaron, the priest made the people naked before their enemies and so have
today’s Church leaders! That’s why we’re being taken back to the wilderness
to be numbered by our faithfulness and receive the terms – again – written on
our heart – of the Ketubah, wedding contract.
