Orthodontics: 3 years Program- Official language: English –


Starting January 2011

Objectives: This Diploma is a European one and its primary


objective is to give to dentist’s sufficient knowledge to dedicate
their practice to Orthodontics and to dental orthopedics while
treating dental or facial deformities.
Our second objective is to help dentists to learn this specialty
without closing their practice during 3 years to get an official
diploma.
Our Third objective is to facilitate to dentists a recognized
education with minimal cost by ensuring in Lebanon the courses
and the hand- on.
Last but not least, quality education is our goal and all the
exams (once per year) have to be passed in France.

Basic Courses: Cranial and facial anatomy - Embryology –


Genetics- Physiology of mastication and TMD –Development of
dentition (primary and permanent teeth ) – Histo-physiology of
oral structures –Biostatics- Biomechanics – Classification of
malocclusions- Orthodontic exam – Cephalometric-Ortho and
orthopedics diagnosis –Removable and fixed orthopedics -
Orthodontic appliance (Bands-Brackets- wires)- Orthodontics
related to prosthodontics and periodontics – Surgical approach .

Clinical Courses: Clinical orthodontic exam- Clinical


cephalometry –Clinical wire bending -Orthodontic appliance
setting –Interception and treatment of malocclusion – Clinical
treatment of class I, II and III malocclusion.

Educational Timing:
First year: 4 sessions of 3 successive days in Lebanon and one
session in France.
Second year: 4 sessions of 3 successive days in Lebanon and one
session in France
Third year: Preparation of the thesis and clinical cases in
Lebanon and final presentation in France.
However, each candidate has to pursue large documentation
given by the center in his practice.

Modalities: (deadline 25 December


2010)
First year: 1000 Euros upon subscription to get an ID student
from the University of Bourgogne and 7000 Euros divided in 3
equal payments. This fee includes all hands-on materials.
Second year: 1000 Euros upon subscription to get an ID student
from the University of Bourgogne and 7000 Euros divided in 3
equal payments. This fee includes all hands-on materials.

Third year: 800 Euros upon subscription to get an ID student


from the University of Bourgogne and 5000 Euros divided in 3
equal payments.
The Professors in Charge: Prof. Gabriel Malka from the
University of Bourgogne,
Prof. Philip Souhaid from the Dental College with their
collaborators.

Oral Surgery and Implantology: 2 Years Program – Official


Language: English – Starting January 2011

Now is time to take the next step and consider acquiring a


European University Diploma in Oral Surgery and
Implantology

Objectives: This Diploma is a European Academic Diploma. Its


primary objective is to give the dentist sufficient and professional
knowledge of oral pathology, oral surgery, combined with
Mastering the art of Implantology and acquiring skills in placing
and/or restoring dental implants.

practice during two years to get an official European Academic
Diploma in oral surgery and implant dentistry.

disorders, endodontic surgery, drugs strategies, oral biopsy,
Impacted teeth bone biology , bone grafting, distraction
osteogenesis , peri-implantitis , growth factors in oral surgery ,
guided tissue regeneration, ridge expansion, biological aspects of
oral implants , standard and advanced implant surgical
procedures ,Sinus augmentation, Chin and ramus grafting,
periodontal grafting, papillae régénération , periodontal plastic
and aesthetic surgery, impression techniques ,immédiate loading
, biomaterials in implant dentistry, guided surgery, Implant
prosthetics from A to Z , and many many others…

Educational Timing:

First Year: 3 sessions of 5 successive days in Lebanon and one


session of 5 successive days in Dijon - France.

Second Year: 3 sessions of 5 successive days in Lebanon and one


session of 5 successive days (including a presentation of the
thesis, the clinical cases and a final exam ) in Dijon- France.
