Traces of Grace
Dear Fellow Parishioners;
After the last roll of the raffle ticket barrel and the $5000 winner was called forward, folks took a deep breath and
spent the next several hours rolling up the tents and closing down the parish fiesta. The weather held in our favor,
the food was over the top (I know because I tasted everything!), entertainment was lively, the rides were fun (I did
not ride the Zipper!) and people had a great time. Many thanks to the great fiesta team this year and all their hard
work before, during, and after the fiesta weekend. There is a tremendous amount of work in order to have such a
big fiesta so successful and still have fun while doing it. Thanks to the many volunteers and parishioners who came
out to support this school fundraiser. A special thanks to Greg and Lisa Gippe who have co chaired the fiesta for
several years, who because they have moved will no longer are able to co chair the event. If you missed it this
year, be sure to mark your calendars for next year!
Together in Christ;

Fr. Steve

CONCERN AMERICA
On June 11th and 12th Fr. Christopher Smith, representing
the organization Concern America will speak to us at all the
Masses. Concern America is an international development
and refugee aid organization that works with the poor pre-
dominantly in Latin America but also in Africa. Their chief
thrust is to help these people establish “self-help” pro-
grams.
There will be no special collection, but there will be repre-
sentatives outside the church to give you literature and fur-
ther information. There will also be a donation basket avail-
able. Your support will allow Concern America to continue
helping the poor in the fields of health, education, food pro-
duction and self-help programs.

FAITH IN ACTION
Are you looking for some way to give back? Then this
ministry may be a good fit! There are many folks who
are able to attend Mass but can’t get here without a ride.
Faith in Action offers rides, assistance with shopping for
groceries and other chores that we all take for granted.
If you have a seat available in your car when you come
to Mass or some spare time to assist someone with
these tasks, call Ellen Loretta at (949) 290-5441 or email
ellenloretta@hotmail.com..
