located in Colorado’s Outback, the heart of the Eastern Plains. We
enjoy an Old West-style horse-drawn wagon ride followed by a ride
on the Kit Carson County Carousel. The carousel has been fully
restored to its original splendor and is known to be the “jewel” of
all carousels. It was carved by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company
in 1905 and is now a National Historic Landmark. We visit “Old
Town” Burlington, where you’ll find a depot built in 1889, with its
original rail cars, as well as numerous other historic buildings Royal Gorge Scenic Railway
