Major Achievements include: Development of approximately 80 Best Practices, deve
loped department specific safety training program, developed departmental traini
ng manual to encompass all areas of operation, and assist with the development o

ver a four year period; developed accident trend analysis program for st
ores and warehouse; reduced number of worker's compensation claims by 24% over s
ame period; and reduced inventory shrinkage from 3.4% to .3 % over a six year pe
riod.

Direct report to Corporate Director. Managed, developed and consulted on Loss Co
ntrol, Safety, Risk Management initiatives within a regional area (southern half
of United States from the East Coast to the Rocky Mountains). The company was c
omprised of 26 divisions or individual companies involved in retail, wholesale,
industrial, manufacturing, and mining operations. Assistance was provided in p
olicy development, strategic planning, risk assessment, employee training and aw
areness, investigations, accident trend analysis, labor relations, record reten

Major Achievements include: Was promoted to a Division Director responsible for
Safety, Loss Control, and Risk Management of their largest division (Howard Brot
hers Stores) after four years; discovered the source of a loss trend in a ma
nufacturing division which, once corrected, saved the division 4% in workman's c
ompensation premiums; uncovered a $250,000 fraud scheme in a retail division; an
d as a result of a risk assessment survey in an industrial division, uncovered a
nd corrected four serious infractions just prior to an OSHA audit.
