Working in a Jail environment will prepare most anyone to control their emotions
when being yelled at as a lady on the street, or when there is blood or a body
hanging from the ceiling. They all need help and they usually all end up saying
thank you. These souls are sick people physically when they come to the jail and
I never know what I am going to see come though the SALLY port door. I have alw
ays relied on my nursing practice to make the right choice.

My duties for this assisted living facility include that of a Director of Nursin
g. I manage 8-5 nurses and 8 CNA's, handle the preparation for survey, hiring, i

g and sales, along with the day to day operations of the facility in the absence
of the Administrative Director. I work in a team environment making sure the fa
cility functions within the state regulations set-up by the Illinois Department
of Public Health.
