FLIGHT SIMULATION CONSULTANT
1999-2000
Contract Employee, The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO
o Adjusted aerodynamic and stability and control derivatives to
satisfy Level C simulator requirements of FAA Advisory
Circular 120-40B as requested by the Air Force for the Boeing
C-17 aircraft simulators.
Ninety percent of the work was accomplished by tele-commuting
from my home in Maine.

Piper Malibu aircraft to obtain flight test data to satisfy
requirements of FAA Advisory Circulars 120-40B and 120-45A.
o Directed Flight Tests on the above aircraft; reduced and
reviewed all data to determine which tests to use for
certification.
o Wrote complete FAA Approval Test Guides for each simulation.
o Derived complete flight and ground models from flight test
data for the above aircraft. Implemented models on
FlightSafety (FSI) simulators.

o Managed activities of thirty six engineers in the Flight and
Autoflight (Autopilot) groups. Estimated manhour requirements
to accomplish flight and autoflight activities on each
simulator program. Reviewed and approved all flight, ground,
and autoflight mathematical models and methods used to derive
these models. Supervised implementation of windshear models on
all simulators. Provided extensive technical assistance on
simulators during the development and certification process.
