OBJECTIVE
Athletics Management position where excellent operational, interpersonal, organi

High-energy individual with over twenty years of management and administrative e
xperience in the development, operation, and leadership of sports/athletics prog
rams. Successfully managed athletic department activities at two high-profile,
premier private high schools, as well as at the intercollegiate level and for no
n-profit agencies. Successfully managed programs with combined budgets in exces
s of $500 thousand, up to 20 employees and over 100 volunteers. Managed operati
ons of both outdoor sports complex and gym/training facilities including schedul
ing of events/activities & officials, coordinating facilities maintenance work,
and managing finances; recruited and trained coaches and other staff members; cr
eated marketing/promotional materials that increased program participation. Par

Operations/Programs Management
* Developed multi-year plan for capital improvements and ongoing maintenance of
outdoor sports complex, resulting in significant improvement in facility appeara
nce and utility.
* Strengthened budget process for department and developed spreadsheet tools to
improve monitoring.
* Member of inaugural Hall of Fame committee; developed selection process and cr
iteria.
* Managed travel schedules, transportation & budgets for sports teams, including
fund-raising activities associated with several significant tournament events.
* Led efforts to increase use of athletic facilities by outside groups and excee
ded revenue growth goals by over 30%.
* Developed strategic plan for a Summer Sports Camps Program. Designed program,
prepared budget, created marketing/promotional materials, and recruited staff f
or this program.
* Managed inventory of athletic team uniforms and equipment, resulting in higher
quality level for participants and improved budgeting.
* Served as liaison with Nike Sports for apparel and equipment sponsorships.
* Promoted athletic department activities for school's volunteer program require
ments and helped increased student participation.
* Managed day-to-day activities of athletic facilities.
* Drafted by-laws and led efforts for successful transfer of CYM Sports programs
to parent volunteers.
* Worked collaboratively with the City of Wilmington to establish a youth golf c
linic.
* Added three new youth sports leagues to existing program in first year.
