I have consistently designed and implemented operational and distribution progr
ams, reducing costs and aligning personnel to positively impact bottom line for
small to mid-size manufacturing and distribution organizations. Directing large
teams and budgets, I improved productivity and maintained quality assurance stan
dards for multi-site facilities.

CAREER HISTORY AND HIGHLIGHTS
Operations Manager, Showmedia. (Taxi-top advertisement.) 2009 to 2010 Revised a
nd improved all procedures at facility for changing the ads on 3000 Taxi-tops ow
ned by the company, and recruited new crews to go out to do the work.
* Reduced payroll, improved installation performance.
* Corrected and did monthly accounting of the $200,000/mo. paid out to Taxis.
* Completely modified the agenda for NYC Taxi-staging shows.
Plant Manager, National Webbing Products, ($15M Manufacturer), 2006 to 2009. Led
all production, maintenance, distribution and inventory. Recruited, hired and t
rained all personnel. Directed quality assurance and safety. Maintained custome
r relations and $1M budget
* Turning Around Underperforming Plant. Inherited poorly performing National Web
bing plant. Reorganized warehouse/work areas, reassigned worker responsibility,
and implemented new delivery program. Improved order throughput and on-time deli
very of product. Decreased payroll 15% in first year due to improved efficiencie
s.
* Reducing Costs. Delivery methods at National Webbing were expensive and unorga
nized. Renegotiated trucking and carrier contracts and designed new record track
ing system. Reduced all shipping costs 30% in first year.
* Improving Morale. Due to prior poor leadership, morale in the plant was extrem
ely low. Scheduled round table meetings to establish my role, encouraging partic
ipation from all sides. Instituted open door policy. Morale improved drastically
as did production and efficiency of the plant.

Distribution Manager, Eastern Wholesale Fence, ($30M Manufacturer & Distributor)
, 1999 to 2006. Managed ten-acre facility with two warehouses, $3.5M budget and
crew of 86. Oversaw truck purchasing / maintenance, facility safety / maintenanc
e and inventory. Led OSHA compliance, environmental safety and distribution.
* Streamlining Operations. Eastern Wholesale was coming out of bankruptcy, facil
ity was not properly maintained, and morale was low. Set up new racking in yard
and changed yard layout to accommodate truck loading. Implemented maintenance sc
hedules and OSHA, DOT, and material / equipment handling training. Improved mora
le and operational efficiency, allowing company to grow rapidly in years that fo
llowed.
* Reducing Inventory Shrinkage. Historically, company had no monitoring capabili
ties to prevent theft. Installed gates guards on first shift to check all outgoi
ng customer vehicles. Placed security cameras around premises and implemented GP
S systems through driver's phones. Nearly eliminated theft, increased performanc
e and driver efficiency dramatically.
* Decreasing Overtime. Heavy overtime on one shift was expensive and causing exh
austed personnel. Divided single shift into three separate working shifts. Incre
ased efficiency due to more specialized personnel on each shift.
Warehouse Foreman/Manager, Davidson Aluminum, ($20M Metals Manufacturer), 1993
to 1999. Recruited, trained and managed 17 workers. Directed Union negotiations.
Led ISO 9000 implementation. Oversaw quality assurance and inventory.
* Implementing ISO 9002. Due to purchase of competitor operations, Davidson Meta
ls facilities were crowded and quality assurance needed an overhaul. Redesigned
facility layout, including new production warehouse. Implemented ISO 9002 proced
ures, improving operational quality and increasing customer contracts.
* Maintaining Profitability during Union Strike. Entire 50 man operation walked
out on Union strike. Interview and hired new team of 50, conducting all training
classes. Safely worked through six month strike, maintaining profitability for
Davidson.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / PERSONAL
I hold an Automotive Technology certificate from SUNY Farmingdale and have take
a variety of seminars / educational classes from Dale Carnegie, Flagler College
and Rockhurst University. Additionally, I completed a 4-day GE Aircraft Engines
DSQR seminar and worked with Underwriters Laboratories on ISO 9000 training.
My interests outside of work include gym training, nutrition, cycling, tennis an
d photography.
