Otay Mesa Energy Center - San Diego, CA. Calpine Corporations Lead scheduler ove
r the Otay Mesa Energy Center construction project located in San Diego, CA. Pro
ject was a 500 mega watt Combined Cycle Power Plant with construction management
contracted to Calpine. Managed the construction schedule from office in Folsom
with compliance visits to site as needed. This includes analysis of the general
contractors schedule and generation of reports for preemptive resolutions to cri
tical path issues. Was onsite regularly and involved in impact, recovery and cla
ims analysis between Calpine and the construction management team.
Folsom Office - Folsom, CA Responsible for Project Controls Department consistin
g with continued support in development and implementation of work procedures an
d ensuring the
scheduling software continues to work efficiently on workstations and servers. C
urrently developing the project controls portion of a Project Execution Manual a
nd training opportunities for P6 (Primavera 6) in order to get all Calpine sched
ulers trained in the P6 program. Currently setting up a P6 test environment for
Calpine's project controls in order to test and train Calpine schedulers on this
program.
Inland Empire Energy Center - Romoland, CA My responsibilities included scheduli
ng and progressing the master schedule forward. This included interfacing with c
ontractors for schedule updates and scheduling of weekly meetings to ensure dail
y workforce reports were completed and entered into Calpine's construction manag
ement intranet database. I generated and published progress curves and manpower
histograms for each subcontractor onsite. This also included analysis of the sch
edule and generation of reports for preemptive resolutions to critical path issu
es. I remained at the Inland Empire Energy Center until the project was 90% comp
lete as required and returned to the Calpine Folsom corporate office.
Valladolid Energy Center - Valladolid, Mexico Worked onsite with project control
s at this site for a short period while maintaining the construction schedule at
Mankato.
Mankato Energy Center - Mankato, MN Worked on site for three months assisting wi
th project scheduling until Inland Empire site was ready for scheduling at which
time I took on scheduling responsibilities at the Inland Empire project.
Pastoria Energy Center - Lebec, CA Worked as a junior scheduler for the 2 year d
uration of this project. My scheduling responsibilities included driving the mas
ter project schedule and managing the coordination of subproject schedules updat
es through contractors' representatives. This included analysis of the schedule
and generation of reports for preemptive resolutions to critical path issues.
Construction superintendent
Pastoria Energy Center - Lebec, CA I attained the position of construction super
intendent for the piping and equipment insulation contract in parallel with main
taining the schedule. Tracked and inspected insulation for quality, managed the
concrete, carpenters, laborers and grout contractors to bring the site to a comp
lete turn key finish by finishing their scope of work and reviewing and correcti
ng Chief Building Official punch lists for tank farm, water treatment and miscel
laneous projects and corrections that were needed for project completion.

Implemented software and hardware upgrades to insure the IS operations ran at an
