EXT. DAIZY’S GARDEN

ON DAIZY - at her garden, watering the flowers.

DAIZY
La-di-da-di-da...

WUBBZY enters.

WUBBZY
Wow wow, Daizy. Whatcha doing?

DAIZY
Hi, Wubbzy. I’m watering my
flowers.

WUBBZY
Good idea. They look a little
thirsty.

But then as she hears an O.S. <ding!>

DAIZY
Lavender lollipops! I put some
doodleberry muffins in the oven.
They must be ready.

WUBBZY
Mmm - I love doodleberry muffins.

DAIZY
Wubbzy, could you finish watering
the garden while I go in the
kitchen?

WUBBZY
Sure, Daizy.

Wubbzy takes the hose.

DAIZY
And make sure you don’t give them
too much water!

WUBBZY
Okay!

Daizy heads into the house.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
This is easy.

Suddenly a STRIPED FLUTTERFLY lands on a flower.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
Ooo, a striped flutterfly! I
haven’t seen a striped flutterfly
in years!

The flutterfly flies off.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
Hey, where are you going?

Wubbzy drops the hose, and chases after the flutterfly.

EXT. MEADOW

The flutterfly swoops and dives through the meadow, as

Wubbzy chases after it.

WUBBZY
<giggles>

Then the flutterfly soars up and away over the bushes.

Wubbzy waves to it.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
Bye bye, flutterfly!

Wubbzy heads back to the garden.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
Wow, that was fun...!

EXT. DAIZY’S GARDEN

CLOSE ON WUBBZY - as he returns to the garden, and his

face falls in dismay.

WUBBZY
Uh-oh!

PULL OUT TO REVEAL - the garden is completely flooded.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
I guess I left the hose on...!

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED:

DAIZY - comes out of the house with a tray of muffins.

DAIZY
Fresh doodleberry muffins...!

Daizy stops short as she sees the flower garden under

water.

DAIZY (CONT'D)
<gasps> Wubbzy! What happened?

Wubbzy swims over and turns off the water.

WUBBZY
Well - I was watering the flowers,
but then I got distracted.

Daizy reaches into the watery garden, and pulls out a

stopper. The water drains away.

DAIZY
Good thing I put in that drain.

WUBBZY
Sorry about that, Daizy. Umm -
Can I have a muffin?

DAIZY
Sure, Wubbzy. But next time, try
to be a little more focused.

Wubbzy takes a muffin, and moves on.

EXT. WIDGET’S WORKSHOP

Wubbzy walks over and sees Widget working on a new

contraption, effortfully screwing in a screw.

WIDGET
Nnngh!

WUBBZY
Wow wow, Widget! Whatcha doing?

WIDGET
Hey, little buddy. I’m working on
my latest project - The Giggle
Gadget 3000.

WUBBZY
Wow.

(CONTINUED)

WIDGET
(scratches her head)
Hmm - I’m gonna need a rotating
ripple wrench. I think I’ve got
one inside.

Widget is about to move, and then realizes that she has

to keep the screw in place.

WIDGET (CONT'D)
Oops - I can’t let this screw pop
out. Umm - Wubbster, could you
hold this screw in place while I’m
gone?

WUBBZY
No problemo, Widget!

Wubbzy takes over the screwdriver, as Widget EXITS.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
I’m gonna hold this screwdriver
with both hands to make sure that
screw doesn’t move.

O.S. <BAND MUSIC>

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
Hey, what’s that music?

Wubbzy rushes out with the screwdriver. ZOOM IN ON SCREW

- as it starts to unscrew.

EXT. STREET

Wubbzy watches the BAND march by, playing <march music>

WUBBZY
I love marching bands!

Wubbzy starts to conduct, using the screwdriver as a

baton. Then he looks at the screwdriver, and remembers -

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
Uh-oh. I was supposed to hold
that screw for Widget...!

Wubbzy rushes back in -

INT. WIDGET’S WORKSHOP

- he’s just in time to see the machine starting to shake

and shimmy, about to fall apart. Just as he runs up to
the machine - the screw pops out!

Just then Widget walks in holding a strange looking

wrench.

WIDGET
I got the...

The machine collapses onto Wubbzy and Widget <CRASH!>

Wubbzy and Widget pop up out of the rubble.

WIDGET (CONT'D)
Wubbzy - what happened?

WUBBZY
Well - I was holding the screw,
but then I got distracted.

Widget kicks through the rubble, but it’s a total loss.

WIDGET
Oh well - back to the drawing
board.

WUBBZY
Sorry about that, Widget.

WIDGET
That’s okay, Wubbzy. But next
time, try to stay more focused.

Wubbzy moves on.

EXT. WALDEN’S HOUSE

Wubbzy walks by and sees a light in Walden’s window.

WUBBZY
Hey, I wonder what Walden’s up to?

He heads inside.

INT. WALDEN’S HOUSE - LABORATORY

In the laboratory, WALDEN is in the middle of an

experiment with beakers and test tubes.

WUBBZY
Wow wow, Walden. Whatcha doing?

WALDEN
Hello there, Wubbzy. I’m trying
to discover the secret of Green
Goo.

(CONTINUED)

WUBBZY
Wow!

Just then there’s a roar O.S.

JELLYGATOR (O.S.)
<Roar!>

PAN TO - the JELLYGATOR, in a cage across the room.

WALDEN
Uh-oh - I believe it’s time to
feed the Jumping Jellygator.

Walden walks over to the cage carrying a peanut butter

sandwich.

WALDEN (CONT'D)
He loves peanutty butter
sandwiches!

The Gator chomps.

WALDEN (CONT'D)
Wubbzy, could you keep an eye on
this test tube while I’m gone?

WUBBZY
Sure thing, Walden.

WALDEN
And let me know if the solution
turns green and starts boiling.

WUBBZY
I will!

Walden heads across the room. Wubbzy stares intently at

the test tube.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
(looks closely)
Nope, it’s not green yet.

Wubbzy’s eyes wander over to a nearby MICROSCOPE.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
Hey, a microscope! I wonder what
my fingers look like under here?

Wubbzy sticks his finger under the microscope, and looks:

HIS POV: MAGNIFIED VIEW of his yellow finger.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
It’s yellow - cool!
(CONTINUED)

CAMERA PANS TO TEST TUBE - which is just starting to

bubble, and turn green...

INT. LABORATORY - ACROSS THE ROOM

In the meantime, Walden is standing on a stepladder,

dangling food into the Jellygator cage.

WALDEN
Now jump! Jump!

The JELLYGATOR look up sleepily, and then suddenly leaps

up and snaps the food with its jaws <crunch!>

WALDEN (CONT'D)
Well done!

INT. LABORATORY

Wubbzy has his tail under the microscope, and he’s

contorting his body so he can take a look through the
eyepiece. He’s interrupted by a <burble burble!>

WUBBZY
What’s that sound?

Wubbzy looks over at the test tube, which is totally

bubbling over with green goo.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
Uh-oh! Uh, Walden…?

Walden enters and sees the bubbling mixture.

WALDEN
Great Green Geysers!

The test tube explodes covering Wubbzy, Walden, and the

whole room in green goo.

WUBBZY
Sorry, Walden - I was watching the
test tube, but then I got
distracted.

Daizy and Widget come running to the scene.

DAIZY
What happened, Walden?

WIDGET
Yeah, we heard a big explosion...
(sees the green mess)
Ewwww! Goo!
(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED:

WALDEN
Wubbzy was supposed to watch
something for me, but he got
distracted.

WIDGET
He did the same thing with me!

DAIZY
Me too!

WALDEN
You know, Wubbzy, if you’re going
to help someone, you have to pay
attention and stay focused.

WUBBZY
(sheepish)
I know. Sorry, guys.

Wubbzy walks off, feeling bad.

EXT. STREET

A glum Wubbzy plods down the street.

WUBBZY
I wish I could learn to stay more
focused...

He comes upon the POSTMAN, standing next to his postal

truck, shaking his head.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
Wow wow, Mr Postman - what’s the
matter?

POSTMAN
Well, Wubbzy, my post office truck
has a flat tire.

He points to the flat tire.

WUBBZY
Oh, that’s too bad - now you can’t
deliver the mail.

POSTMAN
I know - and I have a special
delivery package here for Old Man
Grumpus.

(CONTINUED)

WUBBZY
Old Man Grumpus? Wow, he lives
all the way up on top of Mt. Zubba
Bubba!

Wubbzy points to Mt. Zubba Bubba in the distance.

TRUCK IN AND
DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. OLD MAN GRUMPUS’ HOUSE

OLD MAN GRUMPUS - sitting on the porch in his rocking

chair with a grumpy expression.

POSTMAN (V.O.)
Yup - and if he doesn’t get this
package he’ll be even more grumpy
than normal.

OLD MAN GRUMPUS

If I don’t get my package I’ll be
even more grumpy than normal.

BACK TO:

EXT. STREET

POSTMAN
But there’s just no way I can
deliver it today.

WUBBZY
(an idea)
Hey! I know - I’ll bring it to
him!

POSTMAN
Are you sure you can do it?

WUBBZY
Yup - and this time I won’t get
distracted!

Wubbzy takes the package and heads off.

EXT.PARK

Wubbzy is bouncing through the park with the package.

Suddenly a whole flock of multi-colored flutterflies
surrounds him. He stops and gazes.

(CONTINUED)

WUBBZY
Wow - speckled flutterflies, and
plaid flutterflies, and even polka-
dot flutterflies...!

But Wubbzy catches himself.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
Hey - no distractions! Focus,
focus, focus!

Wubbzy ignores the flutterflies and moves on.

EXT. STREET

Wubbzy bounces along with the package. Suddenly he finds

himself in the midst of a huge parade.

WUBBZY
Wow! A giant parade! With baton-
twirlers, and big balloons, and
even bagpipers..!
(catches himself
again)
Oops - Focus, focus, focus!

And he forges ahead.

EXT. COUNTRYSIDE NEAR MT. ZUBBA BUBBA

As Wubbzy nears Mt. Zubba Bubba, he sees all kinds of

curiosities:

WUBBZY
Wow - Dancing Wuzzly Bears...and
Juggling Kangaroos...And a Triple-
Swirly Rainbow...
(determined)
Hey - focus, focus, focus!

And he heads up the mountain.

INT. LABORATORY

In the meantime, Walden and his friends are busy cleaning

the green goo from the laboratory.

WALDEN
Thanks for helping me clean up
this mess, guys.

WIDGET
No problemo.
(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED:

As Widget cleans the goo off the Jellygator cage, she

accidentally opens the cage latch. The door swings open
behind her. The Jellygator steps out, and pauses at the
cage door, as Widget looks back.

WIDGET (CONT'D)
Oops - big problemo!

WALDEN
Great Jumping Jellygators! Run!

JELLYGATOR
<roars>

They race out of the room, pursued by the Jellygator.

EXT. PARK

Walden, Widget and Daizy run across the park, with the
Jellygator in hot pursuit.

EXT. MT. ZUBBA BUBBA

Wubbzy is heading up the side of Mt. Zubba Bubba, when he

hears a yelping in the distance.

WIDGET / DAIZY / WALDEN (O.S.)

Help! Help!

WUBBZY
(stops a moment)
That sounds like my friends.
(catches himself)

Wubbzy moves on,

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
But, I can’t be distracted!
Focus, Wubbzy! Focus, focus,
foc...

Wubbzy stops in his tracks as he hears his friends scream

for help again.

WIDGET / DAIZY / WALDEN (O.S.)

Help! HELP!!!

Wubbzy looks at the package, wanting to make the

delivery, but decides -

WUBBZY
My friends are more important!

And he rushes down the mountain.

EXT. FIGGITY-FIG TREE

At the base of the mountain Wubbzy finds his friends

stuck up in a Figgity-Fig tree, with the Jellygator
below, jumping up and snapping at them <Snap! Snap!>

WIDGET
Jeepers, he sure can jump!

WUBBZY
Don’t worry - I’ll distract him!

Wubbzy waves his arms.

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
Hey, Jellygator! Over here!

The Jellygator turns and spots Wubbzy. He starts chasing

Wubbzy, who bounces away.

EXT. PEANUTTY-BUTTER SWAMP

Wubbzy runs through the woods. The Jellygator is

catching up to him <Snap! Snap!> Wubbzy looks ahead and
sees:

WUBBZY
The Peanutty-Butter Swamp! I know
how to trick this Jellygator!

Wubbzy jumps and grabs a swinging vine. He swings over

the Peanuty-Butter Swamp. The Jellygator jumps after
him, mouth wide, and closes his jaws <SNAP!>, just
missing Wubbzy. The Jellygator lands right in the
Peanuty-Butter Swamp <splooosh!>

WUBBZY (CONT'D)
(swinging overhead)
<giggles> He landed right in the
Peanutty-Butter!

The Jellygator rolls around in the Peanutty-Butter.

JELLYGATOR
Ahhhh...

WUBBZY
That’s the perfect place for a
Jellygator!

EXT. FIGGITY-FIG TREE

Wubbzy returns to the Figgity-Fig Tree as his friends

climb down.
(CONTINUED)

DAIZY
Thanks, Wubbzy!

WALDEN
Yes yes yes - you saved us.

WUBBZY
Yeah, but I got distracted from
delivering this package to Old Man
Grumpus. And now it’s getting too
dark to climb Mt. Zubba Bubba.

WIDGET
No problemo - to the Wubbmobile!

EXT. OLD MAN GRUMPUS’ HOUSE- NIGHT

OLD MAN GRUMPUS is sitting in his rocking chair on the

porch.

OLD MAN GRUMPUS

Well, I didn’t get my package.
(grumpy) So now I’m a-gonna be
grumpier than ever!

- when the WUBBMOBILE pulls up with our friends. Wubbzy

hops out of the Wubbmobile.

WUBBZY
Special delivery for Mr. Grumpus!

OLD MAN GRUMPUS

Why thank you, Wubbzy! I been
waiting for this!
(looks at package)
By cracky - it’s from my younger
brother, Lumpy Grumpus.

Old Man Grumpus opens up the package and pulls out - a

pair of LONG UNDERWEAR.

OLD MAN GRUMPUS (CONT'D)

(disappointed)
Underwear!

Wubbzy looks into the package.

WUBBZY
But look - there’s also a cake!

OLD MAN GRUMPUS

Well, I’ll be hornswoggled! Ma
Grumpus’ famous rooty-tooty
fruitcake!
(MORE)
(CONTINUED)

OLD MAN GRUMPUS (CONT'D)
(holds up cake)
Who wants a slice?

THE GANG
Yaaaaahh!!

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. OLD MAN GRUMPUS’ HOUSE - PICNIC TABLE

Everyone is eating fruitcake.

DAIZY
Gee, Wubbzy, thanks again for
saving us!

WALDEN
Yes yes yes - but none of this
would have happened if you had
stayed focused on what you were
doing. Right, Wubbzy? Wubbzy?

We PULL OUT to see that Wubbzy is staring intently at his

piece of cake as he eats.

WALDEN (CONT'D)
Wubbzy? Are you listening to us?

WUBBZY
Sorry, Walden, I can’t be
distracted right now. I have to
stay focused on this piece of
cake.

Everyone laughs as Wubbzy chews.

WIDGET / DAIZY / WALDEN/GRUMPUS
