Greetings!

I hope this letter finds you all settling into your summer routines and
enjoying the summer holidays. Enclosed you will find the registration
information for the 2011-2012 Parish School of Religion (PSR) Program. PSR
classes are open to all children of Corpus Christi Church who are in
Kindergarten thru Eighth Grade. First Holy Communion and First
Reconciliation will be celebrated this year for those in 2nd grade.
Confirmation is held every other year for 7th and 8th grade students and will
not be celebrated this year.

* If you are a returning family you will find a pre-filled out form
enclosed; to complete your registration please update or correct the
information on the form and return it to the parish office with the
registration fee. If your child is going to be in 2nd grade this year it is
crucial that we have their baptismal information.

* If you are new to the PSR program this year you will find a blank
registration form enclosed; to complete your registration please fill out all of
the information on the form and return it to the parish office with the
registration fee. If you do not know all of the sacramental information
please fill it out to the best of your knowledge. If your child is going to be
in 2nd grade this year it is crucial that we have their baptismal information.

* The early registration fee for PSR classes this year is $40 per child
with an $80 family limit; after August 1st the fee goes up to $50 per child
with a $100 family limit. Cash or checks are accepted; checks can be
made out to Corpus Christi Church with PSR noted in the memo line. Please
contact me with any questions regarding payment or the scheduling of
payments.

* This year the registration packet also includes an opt-out form for
photography and video purposes. Photographs are often taken and used in
various parish publications. If you do not want your child’s image used
in parish publications please fill out the enclosed form and return it with
the PSR registration.
 * The registration deadline is August 1, 2011.

PSR classes will begin a few weeks earlier than in previous years. This
year classes will begin on Sunday, August 21st. Also, on August 21st, a
Parents’ Meeting will be held for all PSR parents during class time. PSR will
continue to be on Sunday mornings from 9:55am-10:55am in the Parish
Center. All classes will begin in Church with Children’s Choir and Prayer
Time. Please note that when the new church is completed, meeting places
may be changed as more space is available to us, but the time of PSR will
not be changing during this school year. A complete calendar for the 2011-
2012 PSR year will be mailed out with your registration receipt. Any changes
or updates to the PSR schedule will be announced via email and the parish
bulletin so please check these regularly so that you have the most up to date
information.
