verbos es la parte más importante de una oración. A medida que fui estudiando me di cuenta que era verdad;
por lo que vamos a estudiarlos cuidadosamente.
El presente simple se utiliza para hablar de cosas que suceden repetidamente (describe rutinas);
1. AFFIRMATIVE STATEMENTS
I
you + WORK he
we (base form of verb) she + WORKS.
they it (add "S" to base form of verb)
Ejemplo: I work in Nestlé. She works at the University of Guayaquíl.
I
you DON'T + WORK. he
we (base form of verb) she DOESN'T + WORK.
they it (drop the "S" from the verb)
Ejemplo: I don’t work in Nestlé. She doesn’t work at the University of Guayaquíl.
1.YES / NO QUESTIONS
2. WH- QUESTIONS
I
No, you + DON'T.
we
they
he
NO, she + DOESN'T.
it
hablando de la tercera persona del singular (He, She, It).
Tal como hemos estudiado, los verbos “to be”, “to have” y “to do” en el presente simple, tienen una
conjugación diferente a la de los demás:
TO BE
I am / You are / She is / He is / It is / We are / You are / They are.
TO DO
I do / You do / She does / He does / It does / We do / You do / They do.
TO HAVE
I have / You have / She has / He has / It has / We have / You have / They have.
Spelling of verbs ending in -S and -ES.
She faxes documents every morning. Ella faxea documentos cada mañana. (to fax)
He always presses the wrong keys. El siempre presiona las teclas incorrectas. (to press)
If he tries, he will find the cure. Si él trata, encontrará la cura. (to try)
She buys computers. Ella compra computadoras. (to buy)
I see a black computer. (not I am seeing) Estoy viendo una computadora negra.
It tastes good. Sabe bueno.
4) Change the following sentences to their negative form. Cambia las siguientes
oraciones a su forma negativa. Example:
1) The motherboard has the main CPU, Chipset and RAM. (to have)
_______________________________________________________________
2) Kaka plays soccer awesomely. (to play)
_______________________________________________________________
3) Most computer programs are interactive. (to be)
_______________________________________________________________
4) The amount and speed of RAM affect the overall performance of the computer. (to affect)
_______________________________________________________________
5) Mark does the dishes and I do the laundry. (to do)
_______________________________________________________________
6) The Processor OR CPU (Central Processing Unit) is the brain of the computer. (to be)
