Profile
My professional interests have been numerous and varied depending on the opportu
nities I have been fortunate enough to experience. In every case, I've enjoyed t
he dynamics of the office setting and working with customers and staff.
In Feb 2004, I was hired as a Special Security Officer for the MITRE McLean Divi
sion in charge of managing MITRE 3 SCIF scheduling and the SCIF Conference Cente
r. In addition, I am charged with ensuring that multiple sponsor requirements ar
e met with regard to SCIF use. Attendees have included representatives from all
Intel Communities including VIP level individuals who require security details.
Oral and written communication skills are critical in this position along with o
rganizational skills to maintain and manage ten+ SCIF area calendars - sometimes
dealing with challenging individuals and requests. When 'out of the box' reques
ts are made, I am tasked with working the issues and/or providing information on
what 'is' and 'is not' allowed in SCIF areas. Diplomacy is necessary/essential
in many situations as well as discretion.
My current and past positions, I believe, have provided me with the background/e
xperience which would be an asset to your organization.
