Experienced and accomplished leader in the field of Road Building Machinery and
Industrial Process Systems within the Thermal Processing, Asphalt and Petroleum
Industries. Primary function dedicated to Sales Management and Systems Marketin
g, using 48 years of senior management experience in product development enginee
ring, thermal process systems design and emissions control for several leading h
eavy machinery manufacturers.
Served successfully in both domestic and international capacities as Division M
anager, responsible for both Sales and Service of Road Building and Thermal Proc
ess Machinery with sales of $250 M to $350 M annual division gross volume. Estab
lished, trained and staffed all new Environmental Remediation Control Machinery
Division (Envirotech) by successfully establishing directly employed area repres
entatives for zone servicing with both Premium (servicing) and Non Premium (non
servicing) equipment machinery dealer organizations. Staffed and maintained dire
ct international sales and service offices with factories in England, Germany, F
rance, Spain, Italy, China, Russia, and Mexico, while maintaining support for se
ven international OEM accounts.
Utilized my equipment design, development and engineering background and skills
in the generation of new (green) industrial products and equipment lines for si
te specific demands. Selected trained, managed, supported sales and service team
s by efficiently using regularly scheduled schools, both area and in-house semin
ars to technically up grade equipment dealer personnel. Oversaw management of in
-house staff while supervising field service teams consisting of 25 engineer and
field service staff
In 2001 formed consulting company Asphalt Plant Technology 2000 (APT2000) Carro
llton, Ohio to establish a full time research platform to accelerate design, dev
elopment and empirical testing of several major conceptual ideas for devices and
systems to be used in Thermal Recycling of Waste Products to Energy. In 2000 he
ld 22 machinery and systems patents and added an additional 28 in 2000 to 2010 f
or a total of 51. The current patents are dedicated to Thermal Processing, Therm
al Energy Recovery, Materials Handling, Air Handling with Air and Solids emissio
ns control.

TECHNICAL WRITING & EDITING

Composed and edited advertising promotional materials including brochures, flyer
s, news bulletins, sales manuals, service bulletins, sales contract language, le
asing, marketing contracts along with video and magazine publication ads.
Composed and edited service manuals, installations manuals, diagnostics guides,
parts identification, warranties & maintenance guides, trouble shooting guides,
operational manuals, training guides, and new product introduction bulletins.
Generated and edited domestic and international sales proposals, sales contracts
, leasing contracts, used equipment proposals, and service contracts, sales cont
racts terms and conditions along with disclaimer language.
Generated Air, Water and Solid Waste construction permits and impact feasibility
studies, along with completing construction and operating permits for both Stat
e and Federal agencies involved in equipment and systems environmental permittin
g.
Developed and wrote all Patent Descriptions, Operational and Product Claims
along
with functioning schematics, flow diagrams and material, fuel and air balan
ces.
ENGINEERING RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Designed and Patented Contaminated Soil Remediation Thermal Process Systems cons
isting of handling, screening, conveying pyrolysizing, condensing, and thermal v
olatilization. By utilizing rotary desorption pyrolysis systems in low O2 contro
lled atmosphere we are able to perform in-situ thermal remediation and processin
g of materials having petroleum crude oil, drilling mud, chemical and organicall
y impacted soils, we are able to extract and utilize this energy.

SYSTEMS AND PATENTS

Co-designed / Patented Triple Drum Counter Flow Drum Mixer Hot Mix Asphalt plan
ts for pollution free Hot Mix Asphalt Production and operation including smoke f
ree recycling of milled asphalt (RAP).
Designed / Patented, erected and managed operations of Low Temperature thermal
/chemical cracking towers for cleaning and de-watering used oil feed stock for
blending and producing processed burner spec fuels for burners and boilers.
Designed /Patented JYD 1500 self contained and self supported fully Mobile Medi
cal Waste Treatment Sterilization Systems for processing and sterilization of Re
d Bag Medical Waste (in-situ) at hospital sites to assure liability free safe la
nd fill disposal.
Designed / Patented (RTR DMC) mobile and stationary Thermal Pyrolysis Carboniza
tion systems for vaporization and condensation of spent drilling mud fluids and
chemicals designated (RTR/DMC) for recovery and recycling of used drilling mud
From both land based and out sea oil drilling rigs.
Designed / Patented stationary and transportable Crude Oil Thermal Recovery sys
tems (RTR/TSV) for vaporization and re-condensation of petroleum crude from oil
shale and tar sand deposits. Units are also now being considered for use in recy
cling and recovery of crude oil drilling spill sites, major crude oil ocean spil
ls, beach and sand clean up as well as spill recovery ponds and catch basins at
drilling sites.
Was selected by NATO and USA governments for voluntary service in European Balk
an countries of Poland and Czechoslovakia to provide remediation site inspection
s and assessments, with technical consulting expertise for equipment design reco
mmendations and assistance to NATO of Europe. Was asked to establish and design
remedial programs and equipment for clean up methodology for petroleum, biologic
al, chemical, and nuclear dumps that were used as disposal sites by Russia durin
g occupation and during withdrawal.
Designed / Patented Rotary Thermal Recycling (RTR/RAP) system to recover and r
ecycle 100% of used asphalt pavement by thermally converting RAP to new Hot Mix
Paving Material thereby recycling 100% of liquid asphalt, stone and sand. This r
ecycling system saves 12 gallons of heavy petroleum per ton of hot mix paving.
Designed / Patented Carbonizer Pyrolysis Recovery System for thermal recyclin
g and recovery of clean, high btu fuel oil generated from pyrolysis of used tire
rubber, municipal solid waste (curb garbage), low btu coal, wood, plastic, pape
r, grass trimmings, cardboard, food, food liquids. Systems utilize their own gen
erated fuel to process materials.
Designed / Patented Enviro-Tech LTTH and HTTH low and high temperature rotary
desorption systems for thermal recycling and remediation of petroleum and chemic
al contaminated soils and other materials.
