PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
SERVICE:
* Assist and manage work-flow, in-coming calls and/or visitors for
the Physician Services Director.
* Manage the inner workings of the office and physician areas:
assist office visitors, organize and order office supplies, place
work and/or information technology orders, perform notary public
duties.
* Organize and administrate mass mailings and departmental projects.
* Responsible for administration of the hospital mail room twice to
three time a month.
GROWTH:
* Coordinate Continuing Medical Education program year round as well
as assist with annual statewide CME symposium.
* Assist credentialing department with the management of new
physicians coming on staff: administrate statistical reports, send
packets and CEO letters, email to all hospital staff new physician
bios, order and send name badges, and lab coats.
FINANCIAL:
* Organize and administrate monthly ER Call Pay and Chiefs of
Services Pay Invoicing.
* Organize and administrate Continuing Medical Education, Fall
Symposium and Credentialing funds.
* Organize and administrate financial spreadsheets for ER Call Pay
and Chiefs of Services Pay and report these monthly to hospital
accounting departments.
PEOPLE:
* Responsible for being a liaison between the medical staff, the
administration and the rest of the hospital employees: Physician
questions or concerns, informational updates from physicians to
the hospital and hospital to physicians, provide medical staff
lists to hospital departments (i.e. ER calls, specialty lists,
etc).
* Chair the hospital employee encouragement committee: Plan and
carry out monthly events, participate in other hospital functions
(i.e. blood drives, United Way Campaign, and American Heart Walk)
QUALITY:
* Organize and administrate hospital service committee meetings:
Family Medicine, Medicine Service, Utilization Review, and
Continuing Medical Education.
* Conduct quarterly office supply audits.
* Assist in bi-annual disaster drill evaluation.
* Responsible for providing outside health care institutions with
medical staff verifications.
