PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
DOCUVAULT - Denver, Colorado * 1997-2009
Founded DocuVault in 1997 and grew the DocuVault family of companies to more tha
n seventy-five employees and $11 million in revenue. The company's assets were
sold in May 2008 to Iron Mountain (IRM), a global, NYSE publicly traded company.
DocuVault was still growing at more than thirty percent at the time of the sal
e. DocuVault provided business services such as records management, data securi
ty, and document shredding. It occupied more than 160,000 square feet of real e
state and managed more than 1,500,000 cubic feet of documents for more than 1,20
0 customers at the time of the asset sale.
Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer
Lead management team of six direct reports and a diversified staff of seventy-fi
ve. Established and implemented a strategy of rapid growth and market share acqu
isition using only bank financing and cash flow. Strategically built DocuVault
into a regional player and national force in the records management industry, se
rvicing customers in more than twenty states and three countries by providing in
dustry-leading and diversified services, market innovation, and exceeding custom
er demands. Was a leader in changing the focus of the industry from storage ser
vices to information security services.
Special Accomplishments:
* Founded DocuVault in 1997 to provide document storage and retrieval services,
originally primarily to the legal and financial services industries and later to
mid and large sized companies and organizations.
* Founded and opened DocuVault Colorado Springs LLC in 1998.
* Founded DocuVault Data Security in 2002 to provide tape rotation and disaster
recovery services.
* Founded DocuVault Secure Shredding in 2003 to provide mobile (truck-based) and
plant shredding services.
* Signed multiple major financial services companies in 2005 to provide comprehe
nsive and integrated information management services.
* Signed a major telecommunications company in 2006 and began establishing subco
ntracting services in multiple states and countries.
