PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Chosen to increase productivity and efficiency toward plant absorption in B&G's
pancake syrup line which includes the name brands Vermont Maid and Maple Grove.
Daily responsibilities included production start up, efficient manning utilizing
outside agency temp services aside from B&G union employees. Major concerns dur
ing my tenure were production levels and safety issues. Worked side by side with
maintenance, Quality Control and was a member of the safety team.
* Increased production by 23 percent while decreasing labor by 25 percent.
* Assisted maintenance staff with troubleshooting downtime and changeovers.
* Directly Involved with plant safety programs and managed the sanitation depar
tment.
* Conducted safety meetings on regular basis, reporting and/or investigating sa
fety incidents and violations and taking corrective action including disciplinar
y measures. B&G is presently without a loss day accident in over 650 days.
