INTRODUCTION

This eBook you have here is a condensed version of a more extensive healing program on Candida
related degenerative diseases. My purpose here is for you to have at least the basic information and
treatment protocol you need in order to start on your healing journey and elevate your symptoms and
discomfort fast and effectively.

From a young age I suffered with a host of different symptoms ranging from skin blemishes, foggy
thinking, fatigue to severe allergies with no real effective treatment. The answer to why we develop
disease and how do we heal ourselves when confronted with an illness is relatively simple and it has
taken me literally over twenty years of extensive research to discover. This may sound like a bold
statement. Suspend your judgment till after finishing reading this book and you may be surprised
what you find.

The challenge in your healing lies in following through and taking those actions which will reverse
the disease cycle and restore your health and vitality. This simple truth can both be the source of
resistance or the gateway to new possibilities previously thought impossible. Our health and our
actions become the domain over which we have control and is a source of empowerment. Reversing
the cycle of disease and regeneration is rooted in fundamental principles of healing regardless of the
nametag for your specific degenerative condition or ailment.

It is impossible to live full lives and live up to your potential if you are constantly feeling miserable
physically with aches, pains and fatigue. After a while we accept this as normal and actually forget
what it is to be pain free and have abundant energy. Once you read the information I have provided
here you will understand how all of the different pieces fit together. By following the easy to follow
principles and candida healing protocol outlined here you will feel a difference not in months or
weeks but days.

The information and principles I have outlined in this book is the result of my own journey and are
the guiding principles I live by to the best of my ability. It is my sincere hope that this book will

CHAPTER 1 - THE ARGUMENT THAT CHANGED THE COURSE OF HISTORY
Or how did we get into this mess anyway?
I know that most men, including those at ease with problems of the greatest
complexity, can seldom accept even the simplest and most obvious truth if it
be such as would oblige them to admit the falsity of conclusions which they
have delighted in explaining to colleagues, which they have proudly taught to
others, and which they have woven, thread by thread, into the fabric of their
lives.

Western medicine attempts to treat disease by fighting its symptoms. It views symptoms
primarily as independent manifestations of disease separate from the body as a whole. In
short, getting rid of the symptoms is viewed as synonymous with getting rid of the illness.
Hence, the treatments that are prescribed are solely designed to treat symptoms such as
prescribing anti-fungal medications for Candida.

This approach is touted as being more scientific as opposed to the alternative approaches,
which are primarily concerned with bringing your body back to its optimal state of balance.
It creates the notion that somehow conventional medicine holds the truth and the seal of
being based on pure science.

Conventional treatment of Candida is a good example. There are literally hundreds of


different symptoms that come in different variations and severity that are all caused by
Candida. Candida if at all properly diagnosed is too often treated with anti-fungal
medication such as nystatin, which merely suppress its symptoms. These drugs
themselves have an extremely acidifying effect on your body and don’t solve the underlying
cause (more about this in the next chapter: When things start going wrong).

The result of this is that your body is pulled even more out of balance and you are now
further away from regaining your health instead of any closer. Anybody who has just like
me suffered or is suffering from Candida knows the potential pitfalls in following this route.

There are unfortunately lots of people reluctant to pursue alternative modalities due to an
active campaign by the established medical establishment portraying them as being
unscientific and potentially dangerous. Unfortunately this couldn’t be further from the truth
and it misleads too many people struggling with illness into being scared and dependent on
conventional treatments against their better interest. Let’s take a step back into history and
see how we got to where we are today.

It all started with a philosophical debate between two French microbiologists well over a
century ago. On the one side we have the Andre Bechamp Ph.D., and on the other we
have somebody we have all heard of, our old friend Louis Pasteur Ph.D. Bechamp
promoted a theory called pleomorphism, which states that microbes change according to
the environment they are exposed to. Pasteur on the other hand promoted the idea of
monomorphism: disease is solely the result of non-changing microbes invading our bodies
from the outside.
It’s this last view promoted by Pasteur that is responsible for the way western medicine
views and approaches disease. It’s the attack and focus on the disease approach, which is
primarily preoccupied with symptoms rather than causes. Think about it. If disease is
solely causes by external non-changing microbes then it is a logical next step to claim that
the only thing we need to do is to get rid of the microbe and voila, health is regained.

What did Bechamp have to say about the cause of disease? He discovered something
very interesting while studying microbes in live blood. What he saw was that these
microbes, which he called microzymas, would change shape depending on the condition of
the medium they existed in. In other words, these microzymas would change from one
form in a healthy body to another form in somebody who was sick.

These microbes, which are normally present in every body, change form in order to survive
when their environment changes. Otherwise harmless microbes become toxic and
pathogenic when the internal environment of a healthy person changes and becomes
imbalanced. At the core of this internal balance lies pH. Bechamp concluded that disease
therefore is the result of a change inside the body.

Quite a different conclusion then that of our friend Louis Pasteur and it set the stage of two
opposing viewpoints as to the nature of disease. Ironically, Pasteur acknowledged the work
of Bechamp on his deathbed and said, “Bernard was correct: the microbe is nothing, the
environment is everything”. Unfortunately, his doctrine was already firmly rooted and
accepted by the scientific and medical community and we are still seeing the
consequences of it today.

Disease is caused by otherwise harmless and natural microorganisms living in our


body adapting to an adverse change in our internal environment in order to survive
and morphing into pathogenic forms. This change of the internal environment of our
body causes an imbalance from its healthy state and is the root cause of all
degenerative diseases

There is plenty of research that has proven that bacteria and other microorganisms in our
blood and the rest of our body have the ability to grow and change their shapes as the
result of a change in their environment. One way this can happen is when the pH of your
blood and other body tissues and fluids change. These same microorganisms, which are
normally harmless, now become pathogenic (disease producing). It’s this ability of
microorganisms to adapt and change which is the foundation for the concept of
pleomorphism and essential to understanding the cause of diseases such as Candida.

Health is never static but always moves in one of two directions, either up or down. When
a trend has been set in a particular direction it has the natural tendency to keep moving and
accelerating unless we do something to reverse it.

It does not take a lot of imagination to realize why the pleomorphic perspective is such a
potential threat to so many professionals in the medical field. For the medical
establishment to accept the pleomorphic research as valid means to implicitly acknowledge
that the foundation of medicine as it is practiced and promoted today is founded on wrong
assumptions. Not an easy thing to do for anyone especially if your whole credibility and
livelihood is at stake.

Drug companies thrive on a market in need of expensive medicines. Promoting a return to


a healthy internal environment would mean a loss of billions and a complete revamping of
the pharmaceutical industry. Our food industry relies heavily on the use of chemicals in
their production and packaging processes that effectively kills the nutritious content of our
food. And last but certainly not least, politicians depend on the funding of all of the above
groups to get elected.

Anybody serious about their health better take responsibility for it themselves. Educating
yourself on this issue is the first step to understanding what you can do to create the
changes in your life to regain and maintain your health and vitality.

Knowing that illness is caused by a change in our internal environment, wouldn’t it make
sense to focus on getting the body back to its healthy balance? We know that natural and
harmless microorganisms morph into pathogenic forms when we are out of balance (sick)
so getting back to health is making sure the internal environment of our body returns to its
natural healthy state. Read on and you will learn how to help your body heal itself and
reverse the negative spiral of disease.
CHAPTER 2 - WHEN THINGS START GOING WRONG

Impaired digestion means your body has a diminished capacity to break down and absorb
the food you eat. When this happens it is far from innocent and if not corrected it sets the
stage for a slippery slide down to chronic disease. Yeast infections and intestinal
Candidiasis are just a milestone on this journey down. A healthy digestive system and
proper elimination are key and are the foundation to your health.

Impaired digestion speeds up the aging process and plays a major role in auto immune
disease. In the this chapter we will discuss the most common and important underlying
causes leading to impaired digestion and intestinal toxemia.

Any stress placed on your body can upset the proper intestinal pH and balance of your gut
flora. When a stress is placed on your body and this balance gets upset, your body will do
its best to return itself to its natural healthy state.

On the other hand, when the stress placed on your body is too large and your body can’t
get itself back into balance, the slow process of degeneration and illness has began. Let’s
take a look at how this process unfolds over time and the effects it has on your health.

Digestion is not a linear process but consists of different feedback mechanisms and control
systems. What happens in your stomach influences your intestines, and what happens in
your intestines influences in return the activity in your stomach. Your digestion is a
complete system of checks and balances and when one of these mechanisms stops
working properly, your whole digestive system will suffer as a result. Subsequently treating
only one part without taking the whole into consideration will inevitably lead to causing
more problems than that it will solve.

Cycle of disease
Allopathic or modern western medicine is as we learned based on the assumption that
disease by its very nature is an isolated incident with a single direct cause. From this
perspective it of course would logically follow that to cure disease is to eliminate and attack
the source of its symptoms. You have cancer, attack the cancer cells. You suffer from
heartburn, eliminate your stomach ability to secrete stomach acid. The fact that gastric
juices are also a vital element in your digestive system and are a natural barrier to outside
pathogens becomes secondary.

The pleomorphic model describes how microorganisms become pathogenic (disease


causing) in the process of adapting to a changed internal environment such as is the case
with Candida. Disease is not an event which happens in a vacuum but occurs over time as
part of the process of a degenerative process. When your body has been allowed to
progress down the road of physical degeneration the road to healing is to reverse the
downward trend and support your body in restoring its natural state of healthy internal
homeostasis.

Another consequence of understanding disease as progressive rather than singular is that


by focusing on the treatment of any particular condition by itself will not return your body to
a healthy state. The opposite is more likely the result. Pharmaceutical medication has a
predominant acidifying effect without addressing the underlying imbalance allowing the
your body to progress further along the disease continuum.

At the beginning of the twentieth century Dr. Herxheimer recognized this and described the
process of how the body actually returns back to health. The healing response which can
occur as a result of your body reversing the direction of disease back to health is also
called the herxheimer response.

Impaired digestion and Intestinal toxemia


There are many factors, which are harmful to healthy digestion. Stress while consuming
food, medication, environmental pollution and drugs all play a big part in improper
digestion. Bad eating habits combined with an unhealthy diet can be enough to upset the
healthy functioning of your digestive system.

The moment your body has a hard time eliminating waste material through regular and
easy bowel movement, this fecal matter becomes a source for a host of toxins and
pathogenic organisms (more on this later). Constipation and other bowel disjunction are all
symptoms of a stressed digestive system and need to be taken seriously. Too often, we
accept these warning signs as mere inconveniences without adequately correcting the
situation.

Diet plays a crucial role in maintaining a healthy digestion. Processed foods are hard to
digest and our emphasis on meat, dairy and flour all contribute to digestive disorders being
the number one complaint in the US. The more energy your body needs to expand to
digest these foods, the less energy is available for maintenance and energy production.

Another problem is that since these foods are relative hard to digest, your body will not be
able to properly brake down and thus absorb the otherwise available nutrients. The result of
all of this, a net loss of available energy since your body will first use all available energy to
maintain and restore its internal homeostasis (balance).

Peristaltic motion of your digestive tract is responsible for moving the food you eat from
your mouth to your large intestine where it is finally eliminated. When this motion becomes
impaired, fecal matter and partially digested food slowly accumulate in your bowel leading
to blockage long before any serious symptoms become manifest.

Any blockage in your intestines will lead to a reduced transit time and food will remain in
your bowel longer before being eliminated. This places an additional workload on your
digestion and subsequently increases the chance for partially digested foods to remain in
your intestines. When this condition is allowed to persist, these food remains will putrefy
and ferment resulting in the production of endotoxins (toxins produced in your body).

Undigested food remaining in your colon is just as


susceptible to spoilage as leaving food out of the refrigerator for too long. Putrefaction is
the decomposition of proteins through the action of microbes and leads to constipation or
diarrhea and stool with a strong odor, abnormal color and consistency. This stool adheres
to the intestinal wall and over time inhibits normal peristalsis leading to chronic
constipation.

As partially digested food accumulates in your intestines, so does the breeding ground for
putrefactive bacteria. The toxic waste products they release as a result also influence the
intestinal pH away from its healthy norm even further. This reinforces an already unhealthy
cycle promoting the proliferation of putrefactive bacteria.
There is a long list of known endotoxins, which are present in the intestines as a result of
this process. These endotoxins pass relatively easy through the intestinal lining and are
directly absorbed into the blood stream and circulated throughout the body. As this
process continues over a long period of time, so does the buildup of toxins in your body,
which will eventually manifest itself as a host of on the surface unrelated symptoms.

Many of them are neurotoxins and especially affect the brain, which may be one reason
why digestive disorders are closely linked to mental and emotional functioning.
Neurotoxins create free radicals, which leads to oxidative stress.

Free radicals are highly unstable molecules, which miss an electron in their outer shell.
They react with other healthy cells of your body by stealing an electron and in the process
destroying them. This can set of a chain reaction, which is only stopped when
encountering an anti-oxidant. Anti-oxidants such as vitamin C and E, coenzyme Q-10,
enzymes and certain minerals all help protect the nervous system besides reducing the
effects of free radicals.

Intestinal dysbiosis and compromised immune system


When the natural balance of probiotics and putrefactive bacteria has been disturbed in the
latter favor we have a situation of chronic intestinal toxemia. There are a number of things
that happen. One of the most significant changes of intestinal toxemia is that it will result in
a reduced gastrointestinal pH.

This and the exotoxins produced by putrefactive bacteria as a result of intestinal toxemia
create an extremely toxic gastrointestinal environment. When a chronic gastrointestinal
imbalance has developed in favor of putrefactive bacteria, parasites and other pathogenic
microorganisms, we call this condition dysbiosis which literally means “faulty life”.

Dysbiosis is the condition of a chronic gastrointestinal imbalance in


favor of putrefactive bacteria, parasites and other pathogenic
microorganisms such as Candida.

Dysbiosis will lead to a host of gastrointestinal related symptoms such as chronic


constipation, loose stool, ulcers, gastritis, chronic intestinal inflammation and gallbladder
problems. These symptoms, when allowed to continue, can lead to even more serious
conditions related to immune system dysfunction such as:

• Food intolerances and allergies


• Skin outbreaks, eczema
• Chronic inflammatory diseases such as arthritis
• Migraines
• Mental problems such as fogginess and difficulty concentrating

When dysbiosis is allowed to persist over time it will set off a vicious cycle which may
unfold for many years without any manifestation of clear symptoms or diseases. Once
symptoms become manifest it is normally treated as something which stands on its own
without taking in consideration the underlying process of degeneration, making it almost
impossible to correctly diagnose and heal.
Pathogenic Albicans (Candidiasis) is a milestone of how far physical degeneration has
progressed over time and the severity of any existing dysbiosis. Degenerative diseases
such as lupus, Multiple Sclerosis and others are advanced manifestations of this same
process. Other diseases such as Autism and hormonal imbalances such as
Hypothyroidism are now being linked to yeast/fungal infections as well. (More on this later)

Say hello to Pathogenic candida


Candida Albicans is not necessarily a harmful organism. It normally lives in balance with
other bacteria. Candida is the name of a group of fungi which are a normal inhabitant of
our digestive tract, where it lives in a symbiotic relationship with us without causing any
disease. When a systemic imbalance (dysbiosis) is allowed to persist, Candida will
proliferate and crowd out the remaining beneficial bacteria in your intestinal tract.

Candida Albicans is the most common species to result in candidiasis or as Dr. Bob Owen,
Ph.D. refers to it, pathogenic Albicans. It’s only when the pH of our digestive tract is altered
as a result of dysbiosis that Candida becomes parasitic and pathogenic (disease causing).

In chapter 1 “The argument that changed the course of history”, we learned how bacteria
and microbes have the ability to change their shape depending on any changes in their
environment? Well, it’s no different with Candida. As the pH and other factors such as
toxins produced by putrefying bacteria change the gastrointestinal environment, Candida
will morph into a pathogenic fungal form in order to adapt and survive in this new
environment. In other words, any condition of pathogenic Albicans (Candidiasis) is in
perfect harmony with its environment, namely yours!

One of the most common causes for Candida to become a problem is the use of antibiotics
for treatment of bacterial infections (The name antibiotic literally means “against live”) and
birth control. Even after the use of antibiotics or birth control pills has stopped, Candida will
continue to spread. Friendly bacteria are in a minority and can’t control the proliferation of
Candida and other pathogenic microorganisms.

Our immune system is activated to guard us against any toxic invasion and is now working
24/7 in an attempt to protect your body from their disease causing effect. The only way
Candida will stop proliferating is through the return of a healthy intestinal environment.

Anti-fungal medication and other drugs used in the “war against Candida” only help to
suppress the symptoms while at the same time promoting the internal environment
Candida thrives in. Any of you having used anti-fungal medication in your battle to
overcome the effects of Candida will know that when you start on these drugs you better be
prepared to keep on taking them for live for the moment you stop the beast will reappear
with a vengeance. After having read up to this point you really shouldn’t be surprised.

Leaky Gut and Systemic Candidiasis


As Candida has morphed into its pathogenic form it will develop long rod like tentacles
called hyphens. Candida will nestle itself in the mucosal lining and will literally drill holes
through the intestinal wall compromising its integrity. The mucosa of our intestines is very
important in that it serves to protect your body from following any potentially harmful
substances to enter. Once this boundary between your intestinal tract and the rest of your
body is compromised you have what is called Leaky Gut Syndrome.

When this happens partially digested proteins, Candida as well as other toxins intended to
be eliminated are allowed to enter your bloodstream. The result is an overburdened
immune system desperately trying to fight off and neutralize this assault. The
consequences of this are very serious and include a host of progressive symptoms.

In the advanced stage of Crohn’s disease all the layers of mucosal lining are inflamed and
swollen and is very painful. In severe cases this condition is so acute and threatening that
the only solution is the partial or complete removal of the colon.

Pathogenic candida and friends – chronic diseases


As impaired digestion and intestinal toxemia are allowed to persist over time, your body will
slowly but surely continue along the path of further degeneration with eventually fatal
consequences. This process will faithfully continue without any of your help if nothing is
done to reverse this unhealthy trend.

Now more and more research is linking Candida to a host of previous believed unrelated
diseases such as autism, Alzheimer’s, fibromyalgia, Crohn’s disease and on and on. It is
really not Candida as you have learned but the underlying intestinal dysbiosis which allows
pathogenic candida to develop and proliferate in the first place.

In this chapter we are going to go over all the different steps you need to take to reverse
the trend of disease and physical degeneration and how to regain your health and energy.
Every action we take in life creates a specific result and the same is true for your health.
Bad health and disease can only be overcome by taking personal responsibility for it and
doing what is right.

Even though our focus is on pathogenic Candida, the protocol laid out here is not limited to
this condition only. These action steps are true for any other degenerative disease as well
and by following these steps you will experience the same positive results I and thousands
of others have achieved before you. Why does this work? Because the focus is on
supporting your body’s ability to restore itself to a healthy natural environment instead of
focusing merely on symptom management.

Before going on you need to understand the fundamental principle underlying everything
which follows. As we learned earlier, pathogenic Candida can only develop when our
intestinal environment is out of balance and we lack the proper ratio of probiotics
responsible for keeping potentially harmful microbes in check. If, for example, you eat
commercial meat raised with antibiotics and hormones you will undermine the very results
you are seeking.

All effective healing and health is based on this basic principle:


DO WHAT HEALS AND AVOID WHAT HURTS!!

We have learned that degenerative diseases itself are a symptom of unhealthy and
imbalanced internal environment of our body. Knowing this it logically follows that all of our
efforts should be focused on restoring a healthy internal environment by supporting your
body in returning itself to its natural internal balance.

Incidentally, you can divide anything we do into either healthy or unhealthy using this as a
measuring stick. Anything you do to support your body in maintaining a healthy
environment is healthy and anything you do which does not, well you guessed it already, is
unhealthy and will eventually lead to disease. In short, our health is a direct reflection of
our habits and actions we take. This is either great news knowing we have so much more
power over our physical wellbeing then we have led to believe and a disappointment if you
are looking for a fix all magic pill. (You will have to see you doctor for that).

PROTOCOL OVERVIEW
Enough talk about the underlying principles of health and healing, let’s talk about the actual
steps involved in the Candida Healing Protocol. What follows is a general description of the
process with a complete action plan outline at the end. Even though there is a definite order
to the action steps, it is an iterative process meaning there is overlap step three for
example can’t begin till step two has been completed.

1) Determine severity
Determining severity is a tricky thing. For one, even if you have a topical or sporadic
outbreak, it could point to a systemic condition which only flares up in times when your
immune system is compromised such as in times of stress. This is the case a lot of times
with recurrent Candidiasis where the underlying dysbiosis causes flare ups at times.

The other thing to realize is that it is nearly impossible to be suffering from any
degenerative disease (fibromyalgia, IBS, leaky gut, etc.) and not have be suffering from
intestinal Candida. Many of the symptoms of degenerative diseases overlap and it is easy
to get caught up in a disease naming game trying to associate a particular set of symptoms
with a particular condition. The bottom line is that intestinal dysbiosis and a compromised
digestive tract lies at the foundation of all of the seemingly unrelated symptoms.

Appendix B of this book is a Candida questionnaire which will give you a good indication of
the degree of intestinal dysbiosis you may be suffering from. (Of course a doctor is the only
professional who is legally allowed to make a diagnosis)

2) Identify & eliminate causes of your problems


This means taking inventory of not only your habits but other external factors as well. When
we are feeling fatigued and sickly all the time it means our body is overwhelmed and has a
hard time coping. Becoming aware of all of the things which have a potential toxic and
depressing effect on our health is important step in taking control back. If we allow to be
stressed out surrounded by toxic influences no medication is going to bring us the health
we are looking for. Only by eliminating negative influences and establishing a healthy
surrounding and healthy habits will we restore fundamental health and wellbeing.
You will find in appendix B the “healing versus hurting worksheet” to help you take a
personal inventory and make more healthy choices. Below is a short discussion of some of
the most immediate things to become aware of.

Nutritional deficiency
It surprises a lot of people that nutritional deficiency is a real problem. We may have plenty
of food but the nutritional value is for the most part degraded due to not only our farming
and harvesting practices but also as a result of the commercial processing and
preservation practices. We are constantly surrounded by temptation which involve choices
of food and drinks which are detrimental for our health.

Just as important as it is to avoid certain foods, it is crucial you ensure you provide your
body with all of its nutritional needs to function optimally. That means more than just the
number of protein, carbohydrates, fats and calories. It means giving our body the vitamins,
(trace)minerals and anti-oxidants off which a deficiency will eventually default in disease
and discomfort. The best way to make sure you are not running on a deficiency is by taking
a whole food nutritional supplement containing all of the critical elements in a natural and
bio available form.

Enzymes are living entities responsible for catalyzing all the various processes in your
body. without which it would be impossible for you to properly digest our food. If you eat a
lot of cooked foods and don’t want to adjust your diet to much it may be beneficial to

such as dishwashing and laundry detergents, cleaning supplies, body soap and tooth paste
is not only better for our long term wellbeing but our environment as well.

Heavy metal toxicity is linked to a host of serious diseases from developmental problems in
children to diseases such as Alzheimer’s and neurological disorders. Heavy metals
interfere with basic physiological processes and pose a real serious health threat. It’s
impossible in our modern world to avoid this menace and using a heavy metal detoxer will

Constipation
When constipated don’t blindly depend on laxatives as the solution. Your body is telling
you something is wrong and needs to be fixed. Make a colon cleanse just as important as
cleaning your house. In matter of fact, it is your house! Do regularly a one day mini fast of

alleviate your constipation.

A clogged up colon is like an underground dark and humid waste dump with fecal matter
fermenting and becoming rancid . It’s not very hard to imagine what will happen under
these conditions. With nowhere to go the body re-absorbs some of the toxic byproducts
and this is what is called auto-intoxication. You are literally poisoning yourself. The pH of
your colon will change outside of its normal range and you know what train you just
boarded. The Candida train to a live full of sickness and misery.

Decrease Stress
Stress is also called the silent killer. Our bodies were never designed to be in a state of
prolonged long-term stress but only in cases of emergency. Stress is part of our emergency
response system for cases of threat to our survival. It activates our sympathic nervous
system which is responsible for the regulating our physiology during duress.

Prolonged activation has extremely harmful consequences for our physical wellbeing and is
a big part of the reason for the epidemic of diseases. Finding ways to relax during the day
is just as important as eating well of drinking clean water. Creating a nurturing environment
in which you feel comfortable is an important thing you can do to reduce chronic tension.
3) Treat surface problem without exuberating the underlying condition
If you are feeling miserable and in pain you do not want to wait for relief tomorrow, you
want it yesterday! Candida has so many overlapping symptoms associated ranging from
mildly irritating to completely debilitating with no two people exhibiting the exact same set of
problems. Ironically the fastest way to get immediate relief is by following the protocol I
have described in this chapter. The most essential things to do for quick relief is to use the
oxygen colon cleanser and by taking the special Candida cleansing probiotics as described
in appendix A at the end of this book.

When I literally couldn’t get out of bed because my muscles felt so heavy I found relief
literally within a couple of days. Even though I felt so much better in such a short time I
continued following the Candida healing protocol to regain full health.

4) Detoxify your Colon


There are several ways to do a colon cleanse, each one having their pros and cons. The
purpose of your cleanse is multifold. One reason is to remove the layers of compacted
matter on the inner lining of your intestines and open this your digestive tract for future
elimination of toxic waste. In doing so you will allow your body to reabsorb more nutrients
and water without having to force its way through old layers of toxic fecal matter. The
second purpose is to clean out parasites and excess yeast.

The most effective way to clean out your colon is through a process called oxidation
reduction. Using an oxygen based colon cleanser will reduce any solid toxic matter to
liquid or gas, taking of layer after layer from the inside of your intestines. Specially treated
ozonated magnesium oxides remove and clean the entire intestinal tract from old toxic
waste, not just the large intestine. One of the benefits of using an oxygen based cleanser

Cleaning your colon is not the same as using herbs or bulk fiber to relieve constipation.

5) Strengthen your immune system
There are two ways we can support our immune system. The first way is to eliminate those
factors which suppress it in the first place and the second way would be to take immune
boosting supplements. It does not make to simply take supplements without taking in
consideration why your immune system is so exhausted in the first place.

This is why step one of identifying and eliminating the those factors which have a negative
impact on your physical wellbeing is so important. It’s a bit like having a car with a tree in
front of it and expecting that revving up the engine will force the tree down. As you are
taking care of reducing the toxic overload on your body there are additional things you can
take to boost your immune system in the process.

6) Restore intestinal flora


You understand how pathogenic Candida and related degenerative diseases develop as a
result of a disturbed internal environment so you understand the importance of
reintroducing probiotics to repopulate your intestinal tract with friendly bacteria. Just taking
loads of probiotics in the hope that this will suffice in establishing enough friendly bacteria
to restore you intestinal flora is wishful thinking.

There are a lot of different brand and probiotic formulations on the market today but not all
are equal. Most brands have a combination of the two most commonly used probiotic
strains namely Lactobacillus Acidophilus and Lactobacillus Bifido. There are only a few

CHAPTER 4 – THE HIGH ROAD TO MAINTAINING HEALTH & VITALITY

There are seven basic pillars of health which together form the foundation of health and
wellbeing. Each one is powerful on its own but it really is the synergism of all of them
working together which will create the abundant health and vitality. Health and overcoming
degenerative diseases such as Candida and living a healthy life does not have to be as
complicated as we have been made to believe. The following seven pillars of health provide
essential guidelines and will help you regain and retain your body’s health and provide a
healthy environment.

All healing comes as a result of aligning all of our actions and thoughts to
supporting our body return to its natural internal environment and balance:
The right pH, abundant oxygen and cell which carry a relative strong
negative charge.

Maintain a clean and healthy colon and body


A clean colon is an absolute must and should be your highest priority. The colon’s main
function is the re-absorption of nutrients and water into your bodies and the elimination of
toxic wastes through regular bowel movements. Keeping and ensuring your colon is clean
and healthy is absolutely crucial. Dr. Bernard who has done many years of research and
states that “death starts in the colon”.

The colon is to move waste product out of the body, not to be a permanent toxic waste
station. A dirty and sluggish colon is the beginning of imbalance and disease. Maintaining
a clean colon is for a large part directly related to your diet. If you eat a clean diet consisting
of lots of raw (sprouted) foods and perform an occasional fast, having a toxic colon will be
less of an issue. Others who choose to be less stringent in their food choices will have to
be more proactive to clean and maintain a healthy digestive tract.

It is absolutely ironic that we have no problem accepting the fact that our house gets dirty
over time and we need to maintain it by periodically cleaning and yet treat our bodies as if it
is the never ending incinerator with no negative consequences to our health. Toxins build
up faster in our body simply due to the fact that we live in a more toxic world. Green foods
such as cilantro and parsley have a chelating effect and help your body get rid of heavy
metals. Make sure you plan at least ones a year to do a whole body detox and include a
one day fast from time to time.
Lots of oxygen
It has been estimated by scientists that the oxygen content of our atmosphere has dropped
dramatically during the last hundred years. Not only is our food depleted of minerals,
vitamins and enzymes due to our modern means of food production, we are also receiving
less oxygen. Chronic breathing disorders have increased dramatically in recent history and
what used to be rare and primarily adult onset diseases are now hitting young kids.

• Plenty of Oxygen also means breathing clean air. The focus has been primarily on
outdoor pollution, but there has been a steady increase in awareness of the dangers of
indoor pollution. Filter based air purifiers have some build in design shortcomings. By
the nature of their design they only filter the air at the location of the air filter. Well
David you say, how else? Well, there are actually indoor air purifiers which operate
according to the same principle nature uses to keep the outdoor air clean through a
mechanism using electrostatic energy which causes small dust particles to clump
together and fall down due to their increased weight. Not really essential but certainly
helpful if you suffer from allergies.

• Take a few moments throughout the day to focus on your breath. Oxygen isn’t just what
keeps us alive, it is live. Getting into the habit of proper breathing is something many of
us have forgotten how to do. There are some very effective exercises which will
increase your oxygen intake which are easy to learn and do. By learning some basic
breathing exercises we can directly affect our own health by ensuring our cells receive
the oxygen they need to function properly. One of the best places to start learning
about breathing is with Mike White at breathing.com. You can take his online breathing
evaluation which is completely free and will give you some pretty good feedback which
may surprise you.

• Another effective and highly recommended way to make sure your body receives plenty

for drinking due to heavy industrial and environmental pollution. We have reached a point
that, all sources of our drinking water, including municipal water systems, wells, lakes,
rivers, and even glaciers, contain some level of contamination

There are many water purifying systems on the market with some of them even alkalizing
your water. The most important thing is that you have affordable toxin free drinking water.
Buying purified water really should not be a habit and the quality is often questionable. It
takes an enormous amount of energy and resources to pump, bottle and transport
commercial water not to talk about the environmental impact of the actual drilling and
plastic bottles. Consider an affordable home purifying system which in the wrong run will
give you clean water cheaper than buying bottled water and is less harmful on our
environment.

Besides the importance of consuming toxin free water, the best water to drink is not distilled
water but water with the right solution of bio-available minerals and trace minerals. Besides
it detoxing and oxygenating qualities, adding Cellfood will alkalize your water while

Proper nutrition
This is the biggest challenge for some of us but is an important pillar of your health. I

Microwave Warning!

We are all creatures of convenience. Using a microwave may seem like a


great way to heat your food but be aware of its health consequences. Again,
in spite of solid scientific studies showing the detrimental long-term effects
(cancer) on your health, the FDA and other regulatory bodies refuse to live
up to their responsibility in informing the public of its dangers. Microwaved
foods are extremely acidifying and are proven to be carcinogenic. Using a
microwave is absolutely inconsistent with a healthy life style

Everything you put in your mouth will directly affect the pH and therefore the health of your
body. Processed foods, Meat and poultry, fried and baked foods, fast food, all of them
have an acidifying effect on your body and are detrimental to your health in the long run.
It’s not necessary to become a monk on a strict raw food diet of vegetables.
Unless you eat a primarily raw diet, your food is devoid of food enzymes which help your
body to digest the food you eat and supplementing it would make sense. Being more
conscious of your food choices is important if you are serious about getting better and
maintaining your health. A good book on the subject is Alkalize or Die by Dr. Theodore A.
Baroody. It is easy to read with simple to follow guidelines.
Even when you are very conscious about your food choices there are some unfortunate
realities of the times we live in. Never before has the nutritional value of our food been so
devaluated and laden with toxins. Even though I am not a big believer of supplements as a
crutch it is vital that you meet all of your nutritional needs by taking a whole food
supplement. We need more antioxidants today in order to have an adequate defense
against the increased attack of environmental and food toxins on our system.

Toxin free and a healthy environment


We already touched on the importance of reducing the toxic overload on our bodies by
eliminating as much toxicity from our home (and environment) as possible. The assumption
of most people is that using natural toxin free products is either not that important or are
necessarily more expensive then over the counter items at your local supermarket or
grocery. If you look at your monthly budget for household and personal hygiene products
you will find that choosing to buy natural household products isn’t that much more
expensive. It just requires that you buy more in bulk to avoid retail prices at your local
health food store and research the different online outlets for natural products.

Exercise and plenty of rest


Exercise has many important benefits but there is one in particular many people seem to
be unaware of. We all know that our heart is responsible for pumping blood around our
body through an intricate network of veins and arteries. We also have another very
important network and that is our lymph system which is responsible for eliminating waste
products and potentially hazardous toxins from our bodies.

As opposed to our circulatory system for our blood, the lymph system does not have a
heart to pump the lymph fluids around our body. The only way it can do this is when a
muscle is actually contracted and literally squeezes the fluids out. In other words, only
through physical exertion is our lymph system able to flush toxins from our body and keep
us clean on the inside.

Exercising does not mean you have to become a health nut. For some reason, in this
country you are either a complete health nut or a coach potato and there seems to be
nothing in between. Healthy can mean going for a walk everyday and it does not have to
be strenuous at all. Do something you enjoy and you will soon enough make a habit out of
it and forget to think of it as exercise.

Rest and sleep is also something we seem to have collectively relegated to the category of
an unfortunate necessity of life. Plenty of good sleep and adequate rest does not belong on
the bottom of your priorities list. Chronic sleep disorders are a serious problem and have a
direct effect on not only your mood but your body’s ability to heal and maintain its health.
Try going to bed earlier and getting up earlier.

The best quality of sleep is that we get before midnight. Find some time during the day if
only a few moments to take some time out and actively relax. Without good rest and sleep
our body will assume we are in an emergency and our sympathic nervous (fight or flight)
system will be constantly activated.
Spiritual and Emotional balance
It is important to be gentle with yourself. To realize that all of your self-judgments are
learned and not something you were born with. It’s the psychic and emotional toxicity we
pass on from one generation to the next. The grand illusion we create for ourselves to feel
safe in this world strung together with our judgments. Breaking this cycle starts with the
realization you are intrinsically valuable and worthy of love. It’s something we all are in
need of practicing and it does take effort. Find a practice you are comfortable with and
incorporate it diligently into your life. Whether it is prayer or meditation, find ways to stop
time and be still and give your mind a holiday.

By following the guidelines above and creating some different habits perhaps, you will find
that as you regain your health that you will feel more serene and calm. There is no
disconnect between your body and your emotional being. Out of personal experience you
will notice that as you detox, re-oxygenate and allow your body to find its healthy balance
again, your thinking will be clearer, intuition sharpens and feel in general more serene with
yourself.
APPENDIX A - CANDIDA HEALING PROTOCOL ACTION PLAN

If you plan to fail, chances are that’s exactly


where you will find yourself!

1) Determine severity of condition


Complete the Candida questionnaire in back of this book appendix A and take into
consideration any other information you have from any health practitioner for
example. If you are suffering from any serious degenerative disease the basic
protocol of detoxing and restoring a healthy digestive environment remains the
same.

2) Identify & eliminate causes of your problems


Use the “healing versus hurting” worksheet at appendix B and check from the
existing list what is relevant for you and cross out what is not (add to the list where
relevant). This is a great exercise to become more aware of all of the different
factors currently influencing your health right now and those areas to focus on.

Having made honest inventory of all of the influence on your health (positive and
negative) you will find it a lot easier to make the changes where required and take
control of your own healing. Focus on those things you can do right now without
having to wait for something external to happen. For a lot of people it is diet which is
really fundamental to any healing protocol. Don’t be a perfectionist, take it one step
at a time.

3) Detoxify colon
Start on the first day by taking 4 capsules of the oxygen colon cleanser before going
to bed with some (purified) water preferably with some freshly squeezed lemon or
lime. If you do not have at least three bowel movements the following day increase
dose by two capsules each night till you do. Maintain this dose for the next seven to
ten days.

After you have finished the container you need to maintain at least one good bowel
movement per day to ensure proper elimination of toxins and to prevent discomfort
as a result of a healing crisis. A healing crisis occurs only when you are detoxing
faster and more toxins are released then your body is able to effectively eliminate.

Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day to help your body flush out
accumulated toxins.
(Adding Cellfood to all of your drinking water is an excellent way to support and stimulate
your body’s detox process but is not a requirement.)
4) Restore intestinal Flora and boosting your immune function
On the second day after using the oxygen colon cleanser, assuming you have at
least 3 bowel movement the previous day, take one dose of the special Candida
Cleansing Probiotics with your lunch.

Start taking two doses per day after roughly 4 to 6 weeks(one in the morning and
evening). If you start to experience the onset of old symptoms such fatigue and
headaches drop back to one dose per day and wait a week before increasing the

Ironically symptoms can come back by either dropping to a lower daily dosage or by
increasing it. It is very important to listen to your body and adjust the dosage as go
