DESCRIPTION This service bulletin provides instructions to replace the flight guidance computers. COMPLIANCE OPTIONAL. This service bulletin may be accomplished at the discretion of the owner. APPROVAL FAA approval has been obtained on technical data in this publication that affects airplane type design. Removed 7003974-707 Computers must be returned for credit. CHANGE IN WEIGHT AND BALANCE None. REFERENCE Honeywell SPZ-8000 Digital Automatic Flight Control System Maintenance Manual OTHER PUBLICATIONS AFFECTED None. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS 1. Disconnect all electrical power from the airplane. Attach maintenance warning tags to the battery connector(s) and external power receptacle stating WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER—MAINTENANCE IN PROGRESS. 2. Replace the flight guidance computers with 7003974-718 Flight Guidance Computers. 3. Reconnect electrical power and remove maintenance warning tags. 4, Perform a ground check of the the SPZ-8000 Avionics System. (Refer to the Honeywell SPZ-8000 Digital Automatic Flight Control System Maintenance Manual.) 5. Make an entry in the airplane logbook stating this service bulletin has been accomplished. Fill out and forward a Maintenance Transaction Report indicating compliance to: CESCOM, P. O. Box 7706, Wichita, KS. 67277. NOTE: At the operator's discretion, the 7003974-718 Flight Guidance Computers may be removed and the 7003974-707 Computers reinstalled at a later date. MATERIAL INFORMATION None.
