1.What is television? Television is a telecommunication medium used for transmitting and reciveing moving images and sound. Television or TV is the most used telecommunication medium all over the world. 2.How does Tv system work? The videos that we see in the televesion it's an amount of more than 25 pictures per second thath makes the human eye recognise it as a video. The signal arrives to tv by microwaves or geostationary satellites(depending on the history moment) divided in frames then in little squares (pixels) and finally in stripes. Tv rocoginse all that and put it toghether on the video. Sound is sent it encoded, Tv recognise it and decode it to make real sound. 3.History of TV Before the first television was created many other techinical systems and devices that were similar had been patented. That was actually the precursor of what we know now as Television. In 1925 the scottish John Logie Baird made the first images transmition experience on his mechanical television. Then the electronical tv was created but it took a big while to expand all over the world. Frist public mechanical television emissions took place in 1927, Ingland by the BBC. Although in 1936 began the regular electronical tv transmissions in black and white, (by that then tvs were really small, and so expensive).

Guillermo Gonzalez invented in 1940 the first television in color but it was in 1948 when Goldmark developped a good tv in color system and started to expand all over the world. By the 60's tv got a new system of definition which is called PAL. PAL gave

a better image resoltion by dividing the image in 414.720 pixels (the more pixels a image have, the better the definition is). This system allowed inventors make bigger and better screens. Then the HD system was created which gives over 2.000.000 pixels in each image. This system is still used nowadays. 4.Types of broadcasting Analogue broadcasting: the sginals arrive to tv antenna by radio waves through the air. Digital video broadcasting: singnals are sent by a satellite, they are recived in the earth and sent to the Televsions by wire. 5.Tube screen and flat screen More common screens till some years ago were tube direct screens. They reproduce high quality images. The maximum tube screen size is 37 inch. It works with a CRT that transform the electronical sginal into the image that we can see on the scree. Flat screens are very new, they work with new technologies. They can reprduce in HD. They can be really big however the width it's minimum. They work 2 systems: Plasma or LED.

6.Tv nowadays Now the most common transmission system is digital. The majority of televisions are flat screen and can reproduce HD. The Tv's signal is sent by microwaves, satellites or wires. However some experts say that the tv nowadays will die in a few years and replaced for TV 2.0 works with network and hasn't got any publicity.
