July 2007 - August 2009 COMPANY: TATA MOTORS LTD, India. POSITION : Manager, Vendor Development, Project NANO. RESPONSIBILITIES : o Project Management Development of New Components (for the NANO); coordinating between internal agencies (Design, Marketing, Testing, Quality & Manufacturing) and external Suppliers & Service providers. o Supplier selection and pricing of vehicle and engine electronics for all variants of the NANO (petrol, diesel, cng). Periodic price settlement for raw materials/high value items. Parts handled include Instrument Cluster, EMS, Fuel Supply Unit & All vehicle sensors.

o Logistics network planning Development of Logistics Plan, alignment of process gates with SAP controls, JIT inventory norms and KANBAN planning methods. o Implementation of SAP (R3 MM), PLM at green-field assembly locations in Calcutta (East India), Uttaranchal (North India) & Gujarat (West India). Streamlined initial MRP for electrical & hardware items. o Business Management of key suppliers - to plan, manage and control the pricing, quality & supply of Key International suppliers to different assembly locations. o Integrated Cost Reduction Team Leader, Electrical Group.
