Scope: This procedure defines the housekeeping process and how housekeeping will be documented and checked for effectiveness. Ace World Wide is committed to a clean and safe work environment for all employees. Poor housekeeping affects all aspects of safety and can result in both minor and major incidents. It is important for our employees to be dedicated to maintaining a safe and successful work environment according to company policy. Ace World Wide strives for clear understanding, safe behavior, and involvement from every level of the company. Job Responsibilities: 1. Operations Managers are responsible for implementing and ensuring that all employees follow and maintain the defined housekeeping procedure and are responsible for maintaining housekeeping records. 2. Supervisors are responsible for implementing the housekeeping procedure and overseeing teams to ensure proper housekeeping is maintained. 3. All employees have the responsibility to understand the housekeeping procedure and comply with all requirements in the areas they work.

Housekeeping Process 1. Housekeeping is the responsibility of all employees. If you see a potential hazard, notify a Supervisor or Manager immediately to correct the issue. 2. It is the supervisors responsibility to ensure that everyone has a clear and accurate understanding of the entire housekeeping procedure. 3. Housekeeping is maintained through the Housekeeping Checklist F-46, which is filled out daily by responsible people in assigned areas. 4. On a daily basis the auditors responsible for checking assigned areas will sign off for each day, verifying that the inspection was completed. 5. Completed inspection sheets are turned into the managers every week and retained per requirements in the Quality Records Procedure, QP-02. 6. On a monthly basis the managers assigned to each warehouse section will review and make any needed updates to the assigned housekeeping responsibilities. 7. If inspections are not being completed timely or accurately, corrective and/or disciplinary actions will be taken as necessary per the guidelines set by Human Resources. Managers or supervisors will take part in discrepancy investigations and/or disciplinary actions.

General Housekeeping Guidelines The following general area rules apply to prevent injuries and maintain a professional appearance at all times: 1. Floors are to be free of excessive debris and any slip and trip hazards are to be eliminated. 2. Cleaning compound is to be used on the warehouse floors. 3. Keep at least 3 feet of clearance in all aisles for proper access to doors, windows, fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and other emergency aids. 4. Return all material handling equipment and supplies to the proper storage areas at the end of each shift. 5. Forklift charging areas should be kept neat and clean.

6. All GE material must be properly sealed. 7. Remove loose tape and/or shrink-wrap from product and dispose of properly. 8. Pallets and/or boxes must line up evenly with beams and be facing the same direction. 9. Damaged or broken pallets must be replaced. 10. Dusty material in the warehouse should be wiped down. 11. Every employee is responsible for proper trash disposal. All garbage should be discarded in the appropriate containers provided. 12. All garbage is to be emptied daily. 13. There should be an adequate number of waste receptacles at accessible locations throughout all work areas. 14. Cigarette butts are to be disposed of in the proper containers located in approved outdoor smoking areas. 15. All break room tables should be cleared off and cleaned after each use. 16. Any food left out in the break room will be thrown out at the end of each day. 17. Vending machines and water coolers must be wiped down weekly. 18. Refrigerators and microwaves are to be cleaned inside and out weekly, and immediately as spills occur. 19. Desks and file cabinets are to be dusted weekly, or when necessary. 20. All walls should be free from marks and stains. 21. Storage areas are to be neat and organized at all times. 22. File cabinet and desk drawers are to be kept closed when not in use to prevent injuries. In addition, do not open more than one drawer at a time to prevent tipping. 23. Turn off all lights and equipment at the end of each day.
